Is it normal to get an email from Dis Itinerary Planning Services a few days before?

We received one last night ( we arrive Friday). It said it was from the Itinerary Planning Services team at the Beach Club, which I thought was only for club level?
I just thought it was odd, because we've already completed online check in, and it was asking us to respond to the email with our arrival time, room requests, etc.
 
I can't say for sure because Ive never stayed there... but I would be leery of this. I wouldn't respond with any of your information without calling to check first!!!!

Check your reservation in MDE and look at the room type. If you are only a few days out, your room has already been assigned and you may have been upgraded! :cool1:
 
my instinct was to be leery, too.

i just checked MDE and we're still listed as standard, so no luck there! bummer!
