Is it my computer?

Sorry, my post got away from me.

When I try to access other parts of the DIS site, information doesn't load fully on my computer. For example, tonight I tried to look up information about sponsorship, but only the first part of the page appeared. This doesn't happen on my computer at work. The same problem occurred a few weeks ago when I tried to access FAQ about the DVC.

My computer is a relatively new ibook 600mhz with 256 MB of memory. What's my problem?

A big welcome to a fellow Mac user!

If you're using Netscape MJ, try hitting Netscape's "stop" button, if that doesn't help, grab the bottom corner of your browser window and resize it slightly. Either of those or a combination of the 2 usually does the trick for me.

Since I upgraded to Netscape 6 (or when using Internet Explorer) I don't recall having that problem recently.

(Yo, Penny... sounds rather like your iBook, any advice?)

MJ, I get exactly the same problem on the www.wdwinfo.com part of the site - both at work in OS9 and at home in OSX, but only in Explorer - it started after the recent site re-design. Basically, everything appears fine in the part of the window that is already shown on screen, but if you have to scroll down, it's blank from then on, right? I haven't found any way around this but I've found Navigator works just fine, so you could try that. I do occasionally have a problem with my browser window re-drawing which if I slightly re-size the window will fix it like Chris says, but this is a different problem.

Are you accessing the site in IE in both places? What version, and/or are you perhaps on a different version at work than you are at home?

Chris, can I take it that you can go to www.wdwinfo.com info pages in IE and scroll down without any problems? As it happens on both my work and home Macs in OS9 and OSX, I figured it was a bug in IE with something embedded on the DIS site. It's the only place it happens to me.

Homepage? You mean there is someplace on this site other than the Tech Board?

Yes, I have experienced that on the rare occasion I've been on the Homepage using IE on OS9. I don't know if I've tried it in OSX using the new 5.2 version of IE though. I'll have to give it a shot.

I'm using IE 5.1.3 in OSX.

Netscape is in OS9, which is a mystery to me (I tried putting a confused smiley in here but don't know how. Dragging didn't work.)

I gave up my ibook studies when I discovered the DIS boards. I really need to get back to them, I guess.

Thanks for your responses. Sometimes more of the page loads, but then disappears again.

I'll check out the sponsor info at work.

Are you on OSX on both your work computer and your iBook?

Are you using the same version of browser on both these computers?

You can get a version of Netscape for OSX, so no need to go into OS9. Get a copy of Netscape 6.2.2 here

Also, whilst just getting that link I noticed there is a new update to IE out now - V 5.2. I'm just downloading it now - I'll let you know if it happens to fix the problem, but if you are interested anyhow, you can get IE 5.2 for OSX here
