Ok, here comes my rant, I know I dont have alot of posts, but I have been reading this forum since the day before beta ended and have been a dis member for a while now...

these "Gift" threads in the new trading forum are really bothering me, here is why...

It is always the same people asking for a gift AND there is never "I will trade you something buyable" or anything like that, each week, when something new cokmes out, on Monday, the same people ask for it to be gifted to them again and again and again... - now I could understand the threads for trhe difficult games and such, but buyable stuff? c'mon, you are asking people to do the work for you!

Well, thats my GRRRR for the day. Sorry, but seeing those threads all the time really strikes a nerve......

No, it's not you. I was shocked because I recently received a PM from someone I have never met or spoken to, asking me to "donate" items. I thought it was inappropriate, as we have a special thread where people can ask for items or to trade for items. Although I have often gifted strangers, I do so when I want to. I resent being asked, never mind PM'd for a handout.

In my threads I always offer to trade for the item.Sometimes,the person gifts,sometimes I make the trade.I enjoy gifting,but when someone pms you and says this:

ZOMG YOU GOTZ INFERNO!PLEASE GIFT IT!(not A real message!!!)

It's definitely not just you. I completely understand why someone would want something "gifted" once in and a while and I thought that was the purpose of the "What do you really want" thread.

A thread here and there doesn't bother me, but multiple ones do. But I guess as long as there are still people "gifting," people will keep asking. I gift as well, but to the circumstances where I think someone deserves it or truly wants it and isn't just looking for the fastest way to cross things off their shopping list.

Can't do anything about it though - just read it, roll your eyes, and move on. Besides if I gift every thread I saw, how in the world would I spoil my Secret Santa receiver?!?
