I get that a lot. When it happens I shut down my computer and reboot. I am a leave it on all the time person so I think it just needs a chance to clear everything and start over. Usually that works. If it still continues then I delete my cache and most cookies and usually DH will run one of those Ad Aware sort of programs which cleans a bunch of stuff also.

Off Topic, I wanted to mention that I "used" to do that as well. My computer was on 24/7. I would "reboot" it from time to time, maybe once a day but all in all I left it on.

Well about a 9 months ago, I decided to start shutting it down every time I was not on it. Esp at night.

WOW, did I ever see a HUGE difference in my electric bill.

On Topic, I have no issues with my computer or the DIS.

I did notice these problems when using Mozilla/Firefox. But I think when using Chrome there's no problem.

Huh. I'm having the same problem (right now, as a matter of fact), and only on the DIS. I'm happy to know it's not just me.

I find myself looking at the keyboard as I type because it's taking a while for the letters to appear after I type them.

It's pulling up pages. It's hitting next. It's waiting on a page for reply. It's going back to the main forum. It's the whole thing.

Those things are dependent on the server, but that wasn't the originally-reported issue:

When I type it reminds me of when we first got computers.... the letters show up a while after I finish typing them in.

That's a problem with the OP's computer - not The DIS.

Having said that, being a frequent reader and poster on a bunch of vBulletin forums, The DIS is (currently) not any faster or slower, with regard to any of those things, than any of the others I visit. What you're noticing is basically the nature of feature-packed, heavily-frequently, advertising-supported online discussion forums.
