Is it me or has the DVC site been down a lot?

We just hit our 7 month window a few days ago. Is it us, or is everyone having a hard time with the DVC site? I've also been on/off hold with DVC for 40 minutes right now just to buy tickets to Mickey's Christmas Party.

Not feeling very productive right now. Sigh.

It's a busy time at MS since the 7 month window is open for early December reservations.

If you are not using gift cards and your DVC Information is linked to your disneyworld.com profile, you can purchase MVMCP tickets on-line at disneyworld.com at the DVC Member price (if available for your dates).

Thanks Michael. We aren't linked up. Found that out today. However, I did manage to get our tickets so I'm thrilled.

I was also able to complete our reservations. Boy, you WDW folks don't mess around! I guess we've been spoiled with the Grand Californian bookings since it's our home resort. This has us considering a Grand Floridian purchase next week!

It's been extremely slow loading on Google Chrome lately. I switched browsers and it was up.

I must say, though, that after I log out or just close the tab, I have to clear cookies before I can get back into the site again.... get an error message. Also, I have auto fill for our user-name (which identifies our name with first letter input)... usually, on most sites, I can hit the down arrow (highlighting the rest of the name) then enter and it inputs the name, followed by my tabbing over to put in password. This does NOT work on the site. Hitting the enter to input the name confuses the system, and I can't then log in without clearing cookies again.

I know how to work around it, but it doesn't seem to follow the same methods as other sites do. Kind of a pain.

Do the MVMCM dates the 1st week of December usually sell out far in advance? There will be several the week we're booked to be there but I'm just not sure I want to purchase this far out in case something changes.

I don't normally have a problem with it - but today has been bad. I've had more success with disneyworld.com than dvcmember.com, but it's extremely slow for me as well.

No, the parties during the first week of December do not sell out until much closer to the actual date.

Those closer to Christmas will sell out first. Especially since you have several options, you can safely wait until you hear that a party closer to Christmas sold out. When we go, I wait until the weather forecast is reasonably firm before I buy the tickets - usually about a week in advance.

The parties with AP/DVC discounts are the ones Disney thinks either will not sell out or will take longer to do so.
