We'll be going to Disneyland next week (YAAAAY!) and right now I am all about Disney - I can't get enough. I'm always on the boards, listen to DIS Radio at work, started Disney theme nights as a countdown for my little one and niece, made a countdown calendar and have been watching movies with the little one. A bit much, I know, I know. I just wanted to see if there were others that were "cheesy" like me:teeth: and what you did before your Disney trips!:mickeyjum

Nope it is not just you. I am constantly listening to Disney music, on DISboards, and counting down the days (26). I have been to Disneyland many times, but I get very excited each time. I also have to watch the Disneyland sing-along DVD (had the video but it was starting to get a little old from all the times I watch it).
The build up to the trip is part of the excitement of the trip itself!

I too watch the movies again. Before I went to Ariel's I had to watch the movies again to make sure I know what I was talking about. Aurora actually told me something I never knew before, I was impressed! I also rented Tinker Bell.

I've been twice this year, twice in March! I'm going again in May. Thank God I live in San Diego! I'm on these boards all day. Very sad. I'm 60 years old too. I have to make the most of these years before I'm too old to get on Thunder Mountain without help.

Your definitely not alone...when we went to Disneyworld a few years ago we started out countdown when we had ten months til we left. Every fifty days we'd have a disney party...til we got down to 100 days. When we hit the 100'th day we started having out parties every ten days. I had a huge poster and prizes, it was so much fun. We've done it also for Disneyland...I think that half the fun is the anticipation of the trip! I only wish I had one to plan right now. We aren't going until December 2011...sigh

I'm the same exact way! I'm 21 years old, and its a tradition to go to the parks with my family (my parents & brother, 19). Even though we don't have any "young kids" in our family right now, we do have four "big kids"!

We all get very excited prior to trips. My dad and brother aren't as into "disney" in general, but my mom and I are ALL about it. I enjoy watching home videos of our past trips (we have one from every time we've gone!) and looking through pictures, as well. I'm really into Disney podcasts and before our last trip in November, I couldn't stop looking through the DISboards! I love to read about and interact with people who share the love of Disney and Disneyland with me. :lovestruc

You are not alone!

Phew! It's good to see that I'm not alone!:grouphug: Nana, you made me laugh. I agree, I don't know what I would do if I didn't live in SD either! ;) Looking forward to seeing what others do!!!

Im just like the rest; watching Disney Movies, making travel journals, reseraching hotels for our drive there and back, and most of all spending time on boards like this one :grouphug: Its so much fun when you can talk to other people about it.

I find that if I talked to my friends/co-workers about Disney as much as I did with you guys here, they might "un-friend" me or fire me :rotfl2:

I'm in the same boat....as you can see. I am always on these boards, reading information, trip reports, looking at pictures etc. I always burn a "Disneyland Music Mix" to listen to on the way to my job at the Disney Store. My wife came in to talk to me, only to find me looking at videos on YouTube, of Disney's World of Color. She told me "You are supposed to wait until you GET there." LOL!!!!!! Anything to pass the excitement.

We just booked our hotel for this fall. We are super excited and are planning Friday night Disney movie nights we want to educated them on Disney Villains!! LOL!! So we are going to watch all the movies with good villains that we will see duing our Halloween Trip! So I'd say that if you are on these boards chances are we all have the same "illness"! :rotfl2: But you know, if something like planning a trip to DL can bring such family bonding then I say once a year trips aren't nearly enough!!! ;)
