Is it just me or are Walk-Ins Ruining Disney Dinning?

Now I'm just waiting for the thread blaming all the dining problems on those 'darn people' who pay cash for everything. :rotfl:

ALL the dining problems at Walt Disney World are entirely the fault of Guests paying cash.

Happy? ;)

The next time I walk-in to a restaurant, I'll announce, "I am here to ruin your dining experience!"

I hope that's okay. :)

Fine with me. When and where will be the next time you walk-in to a restaurant? I wanna be there to see this :teeth:

Thank you for agreeing with me. I'm tired of all the time it takes to count those pesky ones and fives. ;)

*secretly wishes she had ones and fives in her pocket*

I have not read all of this thread, but I feel really badly for the people who get the dining plan and who do not realize that they NEED to plan ahead. I think it is important that Disney tells them that. I know I have a friend who had never gone and they are going in June and have dining and have not made any reservations and want to do character meals??? They just did not know and I can understand why some get annoyed because no one told them. but that would not ruin my vacay-

Currently oceanfront... or projected to be, once the Big One hits and California falls into the ocean?

Oh yes, it's currently oceanfront...Of course there are a "few" miles in between the actual property line and the actual water but it's facing the ocean for sure!:rotfl2: Oh and to the first 10 buyers I'll throw in, free of charge, the new FOTL FP for Disney dining to eliminate those pesky ADR worries!

I personally wouldn't want to do adr's for everyday of my trip. I have three young kids, and I don't want to have to be on a set schedule for every day. Things come up and schedules change. We're on schedules most of the year, so we just take things as they come when we're on vacation. We might decide we want to eat somewhere and then go there without an adr. If we get in great, if not, we just go somewhere else.

Better yet all of you "out of towners" who come to WDW, so the parks are too busy for us locals to enjoy! :rotfl2:

*gasp*!!!! I'm shocked and horrified and..... stuff, that you would take such an unfriendly stance! Didn't you KNOW Walt built WDW for us Canadians? It's only down there in your country because... ummm.... it's warmer!! :sunny:

:upsidedow

This thread should be a lesson to all to NOT just read the first post and add your opinion! You may end up feeling a little silly after you finally read it all =)

Well, this is my first time on the Resturants board and the very first thread I open is this. I'm one of those walk-ins (but not a scenemaker) and can't imagine having to know what & where we are going to be each day of our 2 week trip.

So I'm starting to feel really bad about the discomfort I may cause some people. Now my dilemma, do I go ahead and plan each day out to the minute or become a full fledged raving maniac everytime I walk into a restuarant and can't get a table within 5 minutes? I would choose the latter if I had some kids in tow who I could pinch so they'd start crying & screaming, thereby causing more annoyance to the ADR patrons. :lmao:

What to do, what to do.

Oh, and for you spelling enthusiasts, I looked up "dilemma" to make sure I spelled it right. But I did not look up enthusiasts so I don't know if that's right or not.

I almost forgot to ask, can I bring my Pop mug from 3 years ago to each resturant we will be storming into for free refills?

all right, that's it!!! I'm going shopping today for a new humour metre for these boards, as apparently the old one is broken!!!!

(psssst......... it's a JOKE, people. Go find your funny bones)
;)

We all know the solution to your problem is to eat Counter Service only :)

Oh, and to save yourself from getting any dirty looks, make sure you don't have ANY family members save a table for you while you are waiting in line :) We've already had those burning debates!!!

Alltiggeredout, an ADR is a "reservation" for a table service location. If you want to eat in a table service location, you can make an ADR by calling 407-wdw-dine.

Why not try a little of each? Plan some days down to the second, and 'plan' other days where your only goal is to personify the Guest described in the original thread :teeth:

Um, they're both fine... but you spelled 'restaurant' wrong... :umbrella:

This is a good reason for first time visitors to use a recommended TA. Sometimes booking a cruise or Disney vacation "on your own" isn't best idea, especially for a first timer. Yes, some people still think Disney = Magic Kingdom = Six Flags.

I'd tell your friend to make ADR's as soon as possible... they can always cancel them later if they change their plans....

I just had a brilliant idea. We are bringing an old ornery family member with us on our vacation. We'll make ADR's, have him go & hold the table at the nice restaurants until the rest of us are actually hungry & done with the rides. Think the staff & other patrons will mind?

HA! Just make sure he keeps yelling out "HEY LITTLE MISS, I spent $10,000 on this vacation and I'll sit here as long as I want! Rules don't apply to me because I'm staying CONCIERGE STYLE, BABY!!!!" :)

No one's probably ever seen an attitude like that anywhere in WDW so they will no doubt allow him to do anything he wants! :rotfl2:
