Looks to be a but higher for July than I am used to --- last year, we were booked for July (before we had to cancel), and I paid $79 each way--- Now, I am not seeing anything under $115 each way (still not horrible, but May has $59 flights) for the entire month--- think I saw a few $79 flights, but they were either VERY early, or close to midnight---

(Traveling with (2) kids--- and very early is rough (even for this dad!)

Wondering if I should wait it out a bit?

We were planning on waiting with this trip until 2022 (which I still might do), but we are getting the "itch" again !!!

I'd love to see $115 from Pittsburgh. Southwest is $158 each way on the flights that came out today.

The problem we just had with JB was they changed our flights and we would have gotten in at about 2 AM in the morning or have to spend 10+ hours travel time from California. Our other alternative would have been to change our flight to the next day, but that would have meant we lost a day from our trip and we already had lost a day due to a change we had to make. So, we ended up canceling with them and going to Southwest where we have about a 7 hour travel time with layovers, but get in at much more reasonable time. And we get to fly out of Long Beach instead of LAX. But not real excited to fly Southwest based on a past bad experience, but admittedly that is almost 15 years ago now, so hoping things have improved.

But Jetblue's prices were fine for our trip.

JetBlue prices are going up and from my (extensive) experience they only rarely go down, at least from my home airport. Book what you are comfortable paying imo. Flights are also filling up, domestic leisure travel is already starting to rebound. Many more people will be vaccinated by July and the CDC just announced new guidance today that vaccinated people are safe to travel if they take precautions. I would not expect those flights to stay at $115 much longer.

Forget the pricing, why do they not have non-stop flights out of Chicago ORD? SW and others have been accommodating this type of travel for a while now, so I don't believe it is fully due to COVID.

I agree, $115 isn't too bad as of right now for summer. The $29-$59 flights JB and others were offering even 6 weeks ago are gone I think.

@tinkerton I'm tracking some June dates and for JetBlue, a flight from DC went from $178 one-way yesterday to $232 today for one-way 😳. Hoping that they might take a little dip but not real optimistic. Starting to look at other airlines now. The promotional emails (not from JB as for whatever reason I don't get them) I'm getting from other airlines are for travel dates that must be completed by Memorial Day through early June.

My suggestion is to sign up for these or watch JB's website carefully in the next couple of weeks. I'm wondering if *maybe* there will be a drop across the board (all airlines) if they don't get the demand they hope or expect. All the airlines I'm tracking have much higher prices starting after June 7-9.

Thanks much !!! Going to try and jump on the $115 if its still available---- Dont think I am going to get cheaper--- my guess is that with the new CDC guidelines, the prices are only going to go up, as PP also said.

I'm even thinking of going Frontier if they offer another low fare lol. I swore never again after my fiasco last year with them (cancellation issues on their end due to COVID and crappy refund policies related to it).

Flew them last-minute (booked 3 hours before boarding) due to a storm rolling in two days before a trip in mid-February knowing my original flight would be canceled and it wasn't too bad actually. I booked it at 1 p.m., was on the plane at 4 p.m. and I paid I think $69 for the seat and $35 for the bag.

Fewer routes = less money spent.

Actually I'm glad you post ed this we typically fly out of Austin and have been using the JetBlue flights for years. Covi d 2020 they kind of jacked us on the return flight so I switched us to southwest. ( technically they used to have 3 or so flights daily and they literally changed our return flight to 1 day later . Switched to southwest... Nov trip not looking great prices are double with only 2 late flights departing and 2 early flights returning
