Is it impossible to book a BW 2 BR Standard for NYE?

We recently purchased DVC at BW and are thinking about booking a 2 bedroom standard view at the 11 month mark for the week around New Year's Eve?

How hard is it to book one of these at that time? Do I need to call every morning?

I would say yes, book day by day at 8:00 eastern time to make sure you get what you want.

The only way to be sure of getting a standard view unit for anytime in December (and especially New Year's Eve) is to call day by day at the 11 month window as soon as MS opens for the day. I think TammyAlphabet made a typo, though. MS opens at 9:00 AM Eastern.

Great timing on this thread as I was just thinking the same thing myself today.

Are the hold times very long when booking for those dates? My fear is that my boss comes into my office with an "emergency" while I am on hold and when I call back 1 hour later the rooms I need are all gone.

I would like to know this as well. Our waitlist has slowly been coming in for January 1-8 standard view 1 bedroom. We are only missing one night, January 7. I hope it will come through, but if it doesn't I am wondering if they will just let us stay in the standard view room one night even though we're "paying" for a preferred view.

I think your odds are excellent that you will get the January 7 night if you already got the others.

They let us stay in the room. They said that they would give someone else my preferred view that we had for the one night. They explained that the guest would be "upgraded" for their entire stay, meaning that others were in the same boat that we were. It was all handled very well.
