Keep trying, keep trying

Last night...somewhere in the wee small hours, I got:
CP 3:20pm
The Wave for Halloween supper 7:00pm
Tusker House 5:10pm
Ohana 7:55am -
50's Prime Time 1:40pm
San Angel Inn 1:50pm
Biergarten 1:30
WCC 1:05pm
Boma 6:25pm

Would really, really, really like to find Ohana for supper, and a CM for breakfast.

But!
We got Ohana for breakfast, and The Wave for supper, so that's all good.

Like others have said, flexibility is key.

We're a party of 8, and I KNOW there's no way at this late date there would be much for availability for that many people.

So, I booked for one family, then the other.
Both families have the same ADR times, amazingly enough.
Here's where the flexible come in - obviously, we're not going to be sitting together!

As I pointed out to DH - not sitting together means saving the automatic 20% service charge

So we're a happy group of 2 fours, sit us anywhere!!! LOL!!
We get to sit down in the heat of the day, at some of our fav restaurants, have a lovely meal with our own family, and then get back to the fun all together!!

Ohana had some openings for Nov 1 at dinner time. I was able to change our 9.55PM ADR to 6.20. Might wanna check if they still have two tables of four for you guys

So if you booked for 6 and were only 5 would they still put the tip on the bill? (dont they do that for 6 people) How does that work?

Thanks for the ideas! I did find some using just the meal and searching all locations!
