Looks like my sister will be joining our family in our room and we can't seem to add her to our reservation. (Room only fits four - but we two younger kids that won't even use the bed).

Do they restrict and monitor guests who enter the hotel?

Are we going to have a problem?

Pleaes advise.

Thanks

If the room occupancy says 4, it is for a reason- it's a fire hazard to have more than that in the room. The DIS doesn't advocate breaking Disney's policies.

Perhaps you should switch to POR because they have rooms for 5. You may be inviting flames. If Disney finds out that you are sneaking someone in without paying, they can kick you out. It's a risk I wouldn't want to take on vacation.

You said the kids won't be using the bed....is this because they are going to be in a crib? If so they don't count towards the 4 per room. You are permitted 4 plus an under 3 in a crib.

You might get abuse here with that question. However, it depends on how long she is staying with you! Is she going to the parks with you? Does she have her own admission tickets? Is it just for a night before she checks in elsewhere for her vacation? We had a brother in law stay with us for one night (6 hours!) when he was between work assignments. We tried to add him to our reservation as an additional adult, but they would not let us. So we decided to just wing it and all was fine. We were even in a room that slept 5 and we were only 4. I think they should allow an extra adult to stay with a fee. They said it was because we were on a MYW package and he was not.

Even if the kids don't count, there will still be an extra person charge for the third adult. Maybe the OP doesn't want to pay the extra charge?

The rules are the rules, and there is a provision on the DIS boards against threads about breaking Disney rules. So I might suggest you edit and delete your original post, this thread will probably be locked soon anyway....

"Dear God,

If a tree falls in the woods and nobody is around to hear it, does it make a sound?

<3,
OP"

Well, in that case, I just want to say hello to everyone while I have the chance, happy planning.

Do you realize that what you propose to do is LYING? What message does that send to the children in your party?

Oh, and by the way. Great example for your children. As long as you don't get caught, cheating is okay. Rules are meant to be broken, eh? I guess safety isn't important.

Now now people be nice, we are suppose to be giving good advice and not jumping on people that do not know the rules here.

We can inform others without being so quick to judge.

Looks like OP already has their mind made up and is just looking for approval. I bet your vacation will be so magical having to be nervous everyday walking into the resort or using the pool and praying no one notices and throws you all out. Have a magical vacation! :wizard:

i think a bridge somewhere is missing a troll...

Yes, but they could have done much better. I posted this recently to a similar thread...

If I was going to try and get a rise out of people on this board, I'd ask the following questions:

1. Is there any secret entrance to the MK where I can sneak in without paying? Can our family hide out overnight at Tom Sawyer's Island and be the first in line at Space Mountain the next day?

2. My 6 year old is really short and I am going to shove him into a stroller and pass him off as under 3 so I don't have to buy a ticket. Will they try to check his age?

3. Also, due to his heart condition, he is shorter than most kids. He is 2 inches too short to go on Mission Space. How many park maps must I put inside his shoes to make him the right height?

4. The MK reminds me of my local fireman's fair. I've heard that US/IOA is soooo much better. Any comments?

The OP said herself that Disney would not allow her to add her sister onto the reservation because the room fits four. That was by her own admission. She was looking for verification if she'd be caught doing it anyway.

I don't know how we're supposed to give her the benefit of the doubt when she stated the rules herself! :confused3
