I hope all goes well at the doctor. I hope they don't have to re-break it. My husband had to have his hand rebroken after if set wrong when he was a child. Of course, that was a long time ago, so I'm sure they have new methods of doing things.

Thanx everyone!! The appt went well.....the break was in the radius (large arm bone) at the wrist. It's healing very well and if this had been casted a month ago, today would have been the day the cast came off. The doctor, even with knowing Michayla's behaviors, decided that a cast or splint would torture more than help. So at this point, nothing can be done. We will have it checked in 9 mths to make sure it didn't effect the growth plate and the bone is growing properly.

Thank You.......I'm guessing it still bothers her because she won't stop smacking it on things (OUCH)!! I sure hope this new behavior will stop as well as the head banging....she got me good in the nose yesterday.

Hi everyone!! It's been a while since I checked in and updated what was happening with our trip.....so here we go!!!!

As I had told you already, we cancelled our trip package a couple weeks back. It was a hard decision and killed me to do it. I actually got the deposit we had put down back already....of course it showed up just in time to keep all of our utilities on.....so I wasn't able to put it toward our new hope, plan, want, dream............

After talking with Derek, he looked in to the CM room discounts to see if that might be an option. I know he wants us to come out and of course we want to go too. So I sent him $400 to put down on 2 rooms and today he finally got a chance to do that. So here's the new plan (we hope).

We'll be staying at: ALL STARS-MOVIE RESORT!!!

This is the resort Derek works at. If we stay there, he can stay with us the entire trip and not have to deal with shuttle buses to get to work and back. It also gets us a 50% room discount having him stay in the room. So we have 2 preferred rooms booked for Dec. 6-17.

Since now we're looking at purchasing tickets and dining outside of a package, I've had to do some major trimming on our meal plans.....bummed out, after I was up at 4am, 180 days out to secure every single restaurant we wanted. Heavy sigh......but now that's just not possible. So I've priced out our meals, buying an AP and a TiW card and think I've got a budget figured out. Derek then mentions that we might be able to get the dining plan added (just not yet....right now they're only adding it to rooms thru Oct 31). So I looked at the plan I have now and could place the dining plan in place pretty easily (and then everything would be prepaid except our Candlelight Processional). So now its a wait and see situation. I still may just go with the AP/TiW since I came out a few bucks ahead. Decisions, decisions.........

I'm still praying for some airline flight deals....we're still looking at about $3000 with luggage (those fees are killer).

So after figuring our room, dining, snacks, flights, rental car, gas, souvenirs, TiW, AP & tickets, MVMCP tickets, etc if we get the IRS money back in time (which we now have until Dec 6 to have room paid for).....we're still coming up about $3000 short. I just don't know where else I can trim and don't have that kind of extra money hanging around.

We're trying so hard to make this trip happen.....just wish flights and tickets were cheaper!!

So at least for now......the trip is back on!!!!

I usually would recommend the TiW card over DDP, but since you have a good amount of kids with you, perhaps DDP works out to be a better deal (if free dining?) Don't forget that you still have to pay gratuity with DDP so that ads up.

Its not free dining so I think we're better off with the TiW....I forgot I would have to pay tips on the dining plan when I was looking things over this morning. I like the idea of prepaying but I know I added more QS meals in to make sure they were used up and I still had to cover the Candlelight Processional OOP and was over on our TS credits by 3 (this could change depending on how many of the character meals will actually charge our tube fed, delayed & autistic daughter) But I figured on paying for all of them when figuring out the dining plan and using the TiW.

Unfortunately our dates never did line up for the FREE dining......booooooooo (we could really have used that....that would make up that $3000 difference we're dealing with now)

Unfortunately, we don't have a lot of play in our dates. Mike had to put in his vacation time in January and those dates are now set in stone. Derek also requested 3 days off in a row to spend with us and those are prior to the Free Dining as well. So unless they add some addt'l days when it gets closer, we are pretty set in what we have lined up.

I understand about the dates and Mike's vacation. Mia (DD) must put hers on November 1st for the following year and nothing is movable - so if I am going away, that means I also have to have any possible dates for the entire following year on November 1st. It's not easy, I know.

Disney is not likely to add FD dates during your days because of POP Warner...they will be there until Saturday the 8th.

Are your dates set in stone? I am OCD when it comes to checking fares and just looked at Southwest... Flying Portland to Orlando (Is what I assume you are doing?) And going December 3-12 would be $2250 for 7 people and no additional baggage fees. Of course that is as of right now and we all know fares change...

We thought about clearing more of the TS meals/Character meals from the trip, but we see these meals as part of the experience and knowing we may not ever get back there is making it really hard to give any more up.

Dates are set.....we already adjusted from flying on Fri/Sun to a Thur/Mon to get a bit of a price break. Of course I keep looking at these flights but until I have the money from the IRS to purchase them.....its just a frustration. They might drop these prices but I have to be ready to purchase them if they do!!!
