I don’t think it is but have been encouraged by friends to do it I need the fall dedication of the Apple Watch I will be fine one minute and the next I have to focus on my balance knock on wood I have not fallen yet but I will miss the Fitbit challenges I have looked Fitbit does not offer fall dedication kinda surprised by that

Does Apple Watch give you step counters (I'd be surprised if it didn't)?
Does Apple Watch fitness apps give you challenges (probably)?

If Fitbit doesn't give you what you need, look at what competitors have to offer.

I've seen people wear multiples when they have a job that requires keeping track of multiple timers. The lab technician at my doctor's office wears a smartwatch on each wrist and also a Fitbit. He has to set timers often when running tests.

The only watches you should wear in multiples is Swatch watches according to my daughter.

Do what you need to do, I would think nothing of seeing 2 watches on a person. What is fall dedication? What is up with the sleep stuff too, can't people just look at their clock to time sleeping?
DH got me the newest one for health reasons (oxygen, pulse and ECG) and since it is always scolding me for not walking enough (not cool for disabled people Apple, not cool) it seems there has got to be a counter somewhere it in.

I use my Apple watch during the day (and, yes it does count steps if you have the app installed) and then I have a Wyze smart watch I use at night while the Apple watch is charging.

Back when I had a first generation Apple Watch that did not have sleep tracking, I would also wear a Fitbit. I also liked the fitness tracking that Fitbit had. Of course I tried to camouflage it as bracelet so that I didn't appear to be so "extra".

After getting a newer Apple Watch that offers all the features I want, I no longer use the Fitbit.

OT, but in the last 19 months , I've had two fitbit failures. Charge 5 fitbit. Both stopped working in under a year.

Anyone else?

I would like my DH to wear a watch with fall detection. He never wears a watch of any sort.

A few of my friends/relatives wear some sort of smart watch that tracks one thing or another. I think eventually the novelty will wear off and end up in a drawer somewhere. Why not choose the ONE device that has the features you want?

Fall detection is a fantastic feature on the Apple Watch. I would be very surprised if the new apple Watch didn’t do everything your old Fitbit does. And more. You just have to set your Apple Watch up the way you want it.

I do know some runners that wear multiple. Many are people who like their Apple Watch for day to day functions and don't want to lose their regular movement counts during runs, but prefer the accuracy of Garmin for actual running measurements and tracking.

I may be in the market this Fall for the new Apple Watch -my current model is a few years old and the battery is only getting me about 18-hours on a full charge. I used to go a full day with no issue and would just charge while getting ready for work. I use it for everything possible and use it almost exclusively to buy things with the Apple Wallet. I was an early adopter....

Since Google took over FitBit, we've been increasingly disenchanted with our FitBits -- I miss the community and chats. I'm likely to look for an Apple Watch when my FitBit Sense dies.

You can use a necklace-type fall detector if you prefer; some experts say they are more reliable because they are worn closer to the body. It's pretty easy to just drop it down inside your shirt where no one will see it.

You can turn that off.
