I am going crazy with this "fake" memory of a time when Disney Parks used to sell an after-4pm discount ticket or something like that. Please anyone!

There is a Florida Resident Epcot After 4 Annual Pass, that allows entrance to Epcot only after 4pm...

If you are attending a convention and they provide a link to the special WDW Convention Tickets you can purchase "After 2:00pm" and/or "After 4:00pm" tickets at reduced prices.

If you are a Florida Resident you can purchase an "Epcot After 4:00pm Annual Pass".
