We have never been there past july 4th we have always left on or before. Is it busier the week before or after. Cause this year we are going to be there the week after. Just curious it won't make us change our plans just wanted to be prepared Hubby is not very patient sorta like a kid complaining.

Both weeks will be equally busy.

It is going to be crazy, ridiculously busy.

I think both weeks will be about the same. Since the 4th is on a Saturday, many people will be off on the 3rd and will go the week before to take advantage of the 1 day work holiday if they go for a week. In contrast, we always try to go for a few days longer than a week and we'll start our trip on the 3rd and go through the following week - basically using the Friday off as an "extra" vacation day this year.

We went the week after the 4th last year (basically same situation with the 4th holiday being on Friday), and thought that the crowds weren't too bad. Keep in mind that we always go at crowded times though (XMAS 3 times), so it's all relative. And since we're frequent visitors we know how to tour the parks, and we're fine with missing out on a few things "this trip" because we know we've done them before and we know we'll be back again soon! This would be different for someone who was taking a "one-time" trip.

thanks for the replys, we have been in feb., march & june/july. I am expecting it to be busy it has always in the past, I was thinking it would be more busy the week after. We to have seen it all so we are just going to take it easy it makes the vacation seem like a vacation. I don't mind that it is busy its just when its busy and you come across rude people that makes it bad. When we took our dd at the age of 3 we was waiting on the lights parade to start(& we got our spot over an hour before) this man with a stroller came up and ask if he could just get through to leave. My husband said sure so we moved over and that man went in front of us and stopped to watch the parade.

I'm going for the first time... July 7th through 20th. We are however in this time doing one day at Discovery Cove and one day and SW and one day at Aquatica and one day at Universal.

What is to be expected with crowd levels at the parks mid July for newbies like us... LISA

We were there from 6/30 - 7/17 last year. It was busy the entire time. We used TGM and truly didn't stand in lines more than about 10 min, but the walkways were always jam packed and difficult to maneuver. The stand by lines in the afternoon ranged from 90-200+ min depending on the attraction.

None of it really bothered us and it was all manageable with exception given to the Brazilian tour groups. I would never go in July again simply to avoid them. They simply stopped in the middle of the walkway (100 at a time) and you couldn't possibly get around them. I'm all for everyone having a good time but it got ridiculous.

It will be very busy. If you prepare for the crowds and realize that you won't get to see everything, you'll be fine. :goodvibes
