Is it bad to smell like a waffle house??

I went to Michael's craft store this morning.

There was a college aged girl with her boyfriend in the same aisle as me.
She was looking at stickers.

This girl said she was leaving the aisle because I smelled like a waffle house.
She said she can't stand the smell of that sh**.

Her boyfriend just shrugged at me. I told her "bye".

I'm assuming it's an insult to smell like a waffle house. Our waffle house smells pretty good. Hmm.

So, do your waffle houses smell bad? I smell like a waffle house.

I'd love to smell like a waffle house. You my friend were just paid the ultimate compliment. If my girlfriend smelled like a Waffle House, I'd never want her to go home.

I guess it depends on what your waffle house smells like. Ours smells like an ashtray because everyone seems to smoke in there and its really small, so that wouldn't be a compliment.

I've got a similar story for you though. I mad onion soup for dinner and then went shopping with my husband. I said to him as we got in my car, we smell like onions. He laughed at me!! When we got to the store the lady at the courtesy booth says... " Hmmm. I'm hungry and I smell soup"

I looked at my hubby and we burst out laughing. I mean ....who says I smell soup???

I guess it depends on if you like the smell of waffle house. Me, I can't stand the smell of maple syrup..so if it smells like that then yuck. BUt the smell of breakfast foods cooking..yummy.

I have a similar story. One time when DH and I were at the grocery store, we ended up in the same aisles with a college girl and her boyfriend. The girl was making fun of all the "old" people pushing carts around the store, and making sure we all heard what she was saying. Yet they were the idiots all loaded down with their items, dropping things and trying to hold on to everything.

College sure must have changed since I went. We loved grocery carts. We loved them so much we borrowed them to take to our dorms.

I am not saying this is the case but when I think of waffle house, I think of syrup and syrup on a person smells like pee. I am not saying you smell like pee. I am just saying that maple syrup smell on a person after eating it smells like pee.

The person was rude though. She could have just left the aisle. Or maybe waffle house is code for something else?

Last I knew smelling like butter, maple syrup, and pancakes was something I would welcome. I live in a house of all boys though, so smells like those aforementioned are not what I am usually welcomed with. In fact my eldest decided his breath stank and decided he would come over and keep breathing in my face until I had to physcially push him away.

I would welcome an "Awful Waffle" smell right about now!

Waffle house probably is a code for something else. Whatever it was I smelled like it.

waffle house is GROSS! every one here in town is nasty and smells like burnt food! The very LAST time I went to a waffle house I had a roach crawl across the table!!!I have never ever went to another one.

Noooooooo! The Waffle House doesn't smell like pee (I love breakfast out!) but maple syrup smell that comes out of a person's skin smells like pee.

Not the waffle house, but when I go to coffee at Starbucks and sit a while, I come out smelling like coffee. Commenting on how a person smells (unless it's good which waffle house could be) is rude.
