Is it as crowded as 4th of July for early December?

We're booked for our first holiday trip Dec. 6 - 12. Is this time of year as crowded as the 4th of July? Just want to prepare for this and plan better if so. Thanks a bunch for any information/suggestions

No, it shouldn't be nearly as crowded as the 4th of July. December is becoming increasingly more popular, but it has a ways to go before it reaches that status.

I think they are taping doing your stay - so might avoid the MK on the days they are taping.

The parade taping is Dec 1 to 3.

The big difference from 4th of July is not near as many people will be coming from off-site in early December.

Not even close. It's less crowded for that time frame than in early August. I'm going down, same time frame, for the third time this year. In fact, I'll arrive on 12/6 and leave on 12/12..same as you.

No not at all. It is becoming a much more crowded time, but you will be ok.

I'm on for those same dates tho not at all anxious about the crowds.. I'm very keen to see the decorations and such. I haven't been down for the holidays since '95.

Overall tho, I'm sure it will be fine as far as crowds go; at least at the parks. The CS locations at the resorts??? Probably not so much.

Thanks a bunch , I thought it might be as crowded because I called to switch resorts (from CBR to AKL) and I was told all resorts are booked, except for a 2 bedroom @ SSR which shocked me.

We were there from 7th Dec for 3 weeks last year. The first 2 weeks were great. We hardly queued for anything except the rides like Soaring and we were able to get FP for those. We are ack the same time this year for another 3 weeks and can't wait.

I think the reason is that you're running into the end of the Pop Warner competition and I believe Mousefest as well. Neither has much impact on the parks, but they do take up quite a few resort rooms.
