Is it a mess today with Pirates premiere soon?

I was thinking about taking my wife today for her birthday, but with the pirates premiere coming up I see there is a lot of construction mess in the areas she likes the most.... Rivers of America. Any thoughts? We can easily go next week instead, but today is her birthday so I thought I'd ask if anyone has been there lately.
I also noticed they have the horse trolleys closed as well that she likes.

The alternate idea I had was to take her down to Ruby's at the pier for breakfast, then get a hotel room in Anaheim, go to downtown Disney for dinner... something fun like Rainforest.

Welcome to the boards. I love Ruby's and then back to the park sounds great to me. We really enjoy the RoA area. Have a great time.

We decided and got a priceline room at the Hyatt Regency Irvine... will do Disneyland another time when the rivers are open. We are locals so we can plan it for another day. Maybe when Star Tours opens!
A few years ago we had annual passes for 5 years straight, but have not gone for 2 years due to burnout.
Just discovered these boards... used to visit mouseplanet but there were not many people active.
