I just found out about Is. of Adventure and that there is a Marvel Comics area. My 7 yr. old son LOVES super heros especially Spider Man, is it worth spending the extra money to go to the 2nd park? Will we see a lot of superheros, parades, etc. or is it all rides and no shows? I definitely want to go to the original Universal Studios and we will only be able to visit this park for one day - can we do both? Thanks for your help - we leave for Disney in 7 days.

Well, personally I'd rather go to IOA myself. But, in your case I do think it's worth going to IOA. He can probably ride ( if he's not scared to:) Spiderman, Juarassic Park, Popyes, and there's always Suess Land. There's also the Flying unicorn. What he rides depends on how scared he gets. Have fun on your trip!!! :earsgirl: :flower: :cool1: :cheer2: pirate:

I agree. I would go to IOA before the studios since I like the coasters. If your son likes rides, make sure you do The Flying Unicorn over at The Lost Continent area. It's sometimes missed since it's right beside DD but it's a pretty thrilling family coaster. Heck..I even got my parents on it and they don't like anything faster than a sky ride. Of course there's also the P-Flyers in Jurassic Park. It's a fun, gentle ride but usually has a LONG wait time and they don't do the EP for that attraction. Definately check out Universal's website and see all the rides..then decide.

Because your son loves superheroes, I strongly encourage you to visit Islands of Adventure.

At Marvel Island, Spiderman, Captain America, Wolverine, Rogue and Doctor Doom ride in on ATVs to visit guests and have their pictures taken. At Toon Lagoon, Popeye, Bluto, Olive Oyl, Woody Woodpecker and other toon characters can be seen. Dr Seuss' characters (The Grinch, Who's, Cat in the Hat, etc.) hang out at Seuss Landing.

As for shows, the main one is a Sindbad stunt show with minor (but loud) explosions. There are others activities for children to do like learning about dinosaurs at the Jurassic Park Discovery Center, and playing on Me Ship, The Olive located at Toon Lagoon.

Definately hit IOA! We took my then 5 year old and he loved it! Spiderman is worth the price of admission not to mention The Cat in the Hat and Unicorn...Spiderman and Hulk are available for picture, etc...

Getting to go on the Spiderman ride alone is worth the price of admission!!!

I also prefer IOA over Unversal.

Definitely go, there is no nothing like IoA believe me, as people have said the Spiderman ride is unbelievable.
