Is IOA only open for early entry and NOT US?

A while ago it was that Islands of Adventure was open early for 1 hour prior for people staying on site so they could see Harry Potter. Is that still happening? Also, is US opening early also?

Trying to make my plan of attack next month : )

We're just back from HRH and you do get in 1hour early for Harry Potter but other park didnt open till 9am.Hotel was 5-7 min walk and they let us in park about 7.45 and they did a rope drop about 7.50 up in HP area so head over a little early.FJ was down as soon as we entered so wait was perhaps 20 min.went on Hippograf ride 3 times walk on and then dragon challenge also walk on before doing Ollivanders with a 5 min wait!quick stop in Honeydukes and we were done in less than 90 min. We had looked at shop windows and had butterbeer another morning when we didnt make early entry.

Thank you for such a quick response, I knew that was the deal before, but who knows what changed since our last trip!

IOA always has early opening for onsite guests but the Studios was only doing early entry this summer basically for the opening of Transformers. There is currently no early entry at the Studios.
