Is HS and AK prime for a new updated night light parade?

I was updating my calendar with dates that are known for things changing and it hit me. AK has projection technology on the tree (and maybe shining on EE)? HS has new projection technology on the great movie ride, ToT and a stage that disappears from view...

Is WDW finally getting some of the technology to offer a new parade inspired by paint the night? These parks haven't seen a parade in awhile. I can see this being part of the pandora plans for next year at AK and HS seems like it's just about all they need (aside from the parade itself).

I'm going to cross my fingers now. I have fond of the childhood memories of disneylands original electric parade but I really love paint the night and WDW is the ignored cousin of disney property when it comes to overlays and technology driven parades...

I don't think AK will see a parade again. It just creates too much of a bottleneck in that park. However DHS could see a parade in the future. Nothing is rumored though. If any park should get a new night parade it should be MK.

A new parade in DHS would be fantastic. I still remember the Stars and Cars parade from way back when.

PTN would be great at DHS with all of the Pixar characters especially with Toy Story Land opening (eventually). But really, PTN would be great anywhere at WDW, it's far superior to the MSEP and the music is addicting - "when can we do this again!"

Agree. Honestly we really didnt care for MSEP at all. I mean kids enjoyed it, but no more than they enjoy any parade really. And i was really "meh". I hated the music.

I don't see DHS getting a nighttime parade - not between Fantasmic and the Star Wars show/fireworks going on.

But yeah, MSEP needs to go.

Provided they move the Cast Services building at DHS to a differ location I would be all for a new parade in that park. But without moving that building, and Using the same parade route, I would have to be against it. That building becomes isolated during parades because it falls right on the other side of the backstage route exiting the parade barn. I used to hate frozen summer fun because of that.

Both of my favorite things about MSEP. I will go against the majority here and say that we enjoy it.

They can't the parade was literally destroyed hence why it's in a land fill.

I'd love to see parades come back to AK and DHS. But with the evening programs that they already have- (F! And the SW fireworks, or Jungle Book/ROL, the Tree of Life shows, and the dance parties) I can't see how they could manage the crowds and provide a safe passage for a night parade too. A day parade would be cool.

We aren't parade people and the afternoon parade at AK was a HUGE inconvenience for us. You more or less became trapped where you were until the parade was over. The parade made me angry on more than one occasion.

Disneyland can do the Paint the Night Parade, a couple of Fantasmic shows and Fireworks all in the same evening. And it doesn't have the luxury of a stadium for Fantasmic. If Disneyland can do it, shouldn't Hollywood Studios and/or Animal Kingdom be able to?

Disneyland doesn't have the bottlenecks AK does.

Rteez, have you been to Disneyland? It has a ton of bottlenecks and more visitors than Animal Kingdom. They make it happen, even if it means having to use backstage areas to get people in and out of the park. Anything is possible, they prove it in SoCal every night.

No I have not but want to. AK wasn't really built for a parade nor was Disneyland. I don't think AK will see a parade anytime soon.
