Is Hoop De Doo worth a visit?

The food is so-so, but the show is great. Good, old fashioned fun for all ages.

The show is fun, but it is very corny. Much closer to a community theater comedy night than broadway. Still, when you combine it with good food and sangria, it's a fun time.
I wouldn't go that far. Yes, it's corny, but the performers are all top-quality, professional.

I was more talking about the script of the show, but reading back, it does sound harsh. The performers are great at their roles.

Definitely worth going. The food is good and the talent is excellent. Script can be corny, but that is half the fun.

We went for the first time this year and my 12 and 14 year olds loved it more than I expected. It was a fun time and different than our other meals. The service is great, the food is decent, and there is no shortage of drinks. I would definitely go again.

We’ve done it at least five times over the years beginning back in the early 80’s. It’s a fun time and the food is good. I find it more enjoyable with a big group and have enjoyed it with family and friends of all ages. Corny for sure, but a good time.

I don’t like food like at Roundup Rodeo
or Flame Tree barbecue so if that’s the case then I can hope the show is good enough to
outweigh a mediocre meal??

It shares a kitchen with the adjacent Trail’s End. You can purchase all of the food that’s served at the Hoop-De-Doo, including the strawberry shortcake, at a much lesser price.

I do enjoy the show but at $70pp, it’s not something I intend on seeing more than once a decade or so.

We have been to Hoop-Dee-Doo six times. To me-buying the most expensive seating tickets (you have to call the first day you are able to make reservations) really makes the show a better experience. The food is good enough, the show is cute, and we enjoy it. We don't enjoy it enough to go every time we are at Disney-it takes a big chunk of time out of your day, and it is a bit pricy, but we enjoy it enough to attend every five years or so.

It might be good to note that it's the last dinner show available at WDW; it's a bit of a relic of the past so if you're a big WDW fan and haven't seen it it's probably worth doing.

My family of 4 loved it; we'll probably go back. We're pretty corny ourselves, though :)

I think if you go in with the right expectations it's a lot of fun. The time we went service was a little slow, but the show was exactly what we expected and we all had a great time. I agree with others it's not something I'd go back to frequently, but it was fun to do once and I'm glad we experienced it! I will say if you don't drink alcohol it's not a great value proposition money wise, but we didn't mind the food.

Is the alcohol free there? We don’t have the dining plan.

I went with a group of 11 people ranging from age 5-70. The children loved it. My parents (age 70) loved it. Those in the 30-35 year old age range hated the show but liked the food. My 14 year old niece said it was her 13th reason. I honestly do not understand the rave reviews for it. I think people must love it because of the included alcohol (beer and sangria).

I don't drink, and I love the show

We love the show and the food. Yes, the food isn't anything special. But it's quite tasty and fits in well with the whole premise of the experience. The show is a fun romp intended to hit just about every physical comedy trope you can think of. The singing is really good and it moves the "story" along.

You'll come out of there singing.

Do you enjoy dinner shows? Do you like corny humor? If yes then you will enjoy it.

It was not for me. We took the girls when they were 9 and 12, they were bored. The 12 year old asked several times if we could leave and the 9 kept asking when it would be over. I’m thinking the sweet spot is probably 3-7 years old for kids.

It was years ago so I’m not sure how the food is now. We thought it was just ok. It was mass produced over fried chicken with a giant shortcake and like 4 strawberries for dessert. The girls were really disappointed with the dessert so we stopped for ice cream in the way back to the boardwalk.

I’m glad we went, I had heard about it for years, but I don’t need to go back.
