We went in April last year for our first family trip. We went to Hollywood Studios only because my son was really into Star Wars. We did the jedi training which was worth the one experience for him but I don't want to do it again because it took up a lot of time. My 2yo daughter didn't have much to do at Hollywood and spent the entire morning sleeping in the stroller.
Also, RNR and ToT down the entire day! Toy Story was down to one track with a massive line and no FP. The character lines were all super long because of the rides being down.
So, while we absolutely loved our trip and are planning a second for May of 2019 I am unsure if we should dedicate a day to Hollywood again. My husband can't do upside down rides and he's not sure if ToT is good for his stomach. My son will be 48" though, is RNR too much for a 6.5 yo? He did OK on Everest.
Does Toy Story make Hollywood now make Hollywood worthwhile for us?
I think that every park has a lot to offer if you look past teh "rides" and enjoy the atmosphere. DHS is one of the prettiest parks, IMO. The details throughout are marvelous, and for my family there is plenty to keep us occupied. If you are "ride" oriented, it may suffer for you, but in terms of attractions there are plenty to keep us busy fo rthe better part of the day. To be honest, our full day is shorter than may families, but we are there for hours.
TOy StoryLand is adorable according to my friends, and I woudl absolutely make time just for that land. As far as the rest of teh park, attractions have been listed above thread, and were must do attractions when my DGD was young. In teh end, it is up to you. It looks like you want specific types of thrill rides and WDW in general do not have them.
