Is HOJO entertainment rate code SD50?

I'm trying to book a trip in March using the rate code SD50 and it's pulling up $100+ rates not the $59 rates. Is the entertainment book discount code still SD50? The dates I've chosen are available for the discount according to hojo's discussion board. I just can't seem to pull them up.

It is, but it can be tricky to do a whole trip at once with the code. sometimes it gets floopy. Especially if there's just one day in there that doesn't have the rate, it will give the high price for the whole trip.

So you can either go day by day, checked for the rate and booking it, or you can wait until "in house reservations" are back in the office (I don't know if they are there on weekends), call the 714 number during pacific time business hours, and make the reservation over the phone.

Thanks, I'll try pricing it out day by day and see if that makes a difference. Otherwise, I guess I'll try tomorrow. I don't think they are in during the weekend, but it never hurts to try.

They do have Saturday hours. I believe it is just the morning, mabye 9-12 or maybe even 8-1.

For when I have typed that code into the information,if there is just one day, that the ER is not available, then the entire time frame will show the higher price. It is an interesting experience,attempting to figure everything out. Plus, a date may show as available on Howard Johnson's Innsider boards, but then not be available. Or it is not available on their Innsider boards, but you call (Not the 800 #, In- house reservations instead) and it is. So at some point, hopefully one can book at the great ER for all of their nights. I hope that everything works out well for you.

I'm hoping too. I tried single night stays for our trip and the special rate isn't showing up. I'm going to call tomorrow. If the dates are available, great. If not, I'll wait and see if any dates open up for the summer.

I had this same problem for my trip in May, so I rang reservations & all booked up with the Entertainment rate for all my dates so is worth the call. Just need to order the Entertainment card book for delivery to the UK now.

I also had the same issue for our trip as 2 of the nights we are going are not available. I called in-house reservations and spoke to Jennifer and she was extremely helpful. I later realised that if I put in the dates and the code for the nights that the entertainment rate was available it would let me book those nights and then I would have to book the others separately - 3 bookings in total! In-house reservations is much easier.

I could only get the Entertainment rate by calling the hotel directly. When I called the 800# or used the website, I didn't get as good of rates. If there is a day or 2 not included, there is also a Mousesavers rate that's pretty good. When I called the hotel directly, they told me that the operators at the 800# don't know about the Entertainment rate that they really give.

FYI the mousesavers rate is the same 15%, I believe, that you get for being a member of the disboards.

Our In-House Reserations is open on Saturday! And you're right- it's from 8a-1p, PST.

I'm not sure that the Front Desk would notice on their own- but if you sent us over a quick email [Lorealle.Bishop@hojoanaheim.com or Stay@hojoanaheim.com] with the confirmation numbers/dates of stay/last name/etc- we could definitely make a note on your reservation before you arrived so that the Front Desk Staff would be alerted to that!

Hi,

I have a couple of questions. I came across this thread. I did what was posted and have found out that 9 of my 11 nights have the entertainment rate of $79. The first 8 then there are 2 nights at $134.10 then last night is $79. here are my questions.

1. Where do I get the entertainment book for the Anaheim area and is there a coupon in it that I need to present?

2. Looks like I will have to book it as 3 reservations in order to get the rate for the right dates. Is this correct? Has anyone done this? Is it a pain and do you have to move rooms? I do not want to have to move rooms.

3. Do I book this online or do I call or is there someone you recommend I talk to?

4. Is there a shuttle that runs to DL from the Hotel?

5. I am guessing by this thread that everyone loves this hotel. I want to book something nice for my 16 yo son as we will be celebrating a milestone when we go - 2 years cancer free. I know he will love the Disney View rooms.

6. Anyone know much about tickets. We need 8 day hoppers but the DL site only goes up to 6 days. Do they sell 8 day or is it only in a package?

Any help is greatly appreciated. Hard to believe only 4 months and we go-I need to book a hotel.

You can purchase the entertainment book online. The link is www.entertainmentbook.com

I would suggest purchasing a book for your area, for the book contains coupons too. Also one can purchase the card that comes in the book, on line, at E bay, for about $5.00.

You only need the card at check in. One does not need to have the book. Nor have the card at time of booking, unless of course one is booking in person.

Howard Johnson does not have a shuttle. However for many people, it is within walking distance. Also there is the ART system, that one can par take in.

You can book on line, or call In-house reservations. Do not call the 800 number for they will not know what you are referring to.

You can book the same room for all of the nights, and if the Ent. rate becomes available, then just have that rate applied to your room. That way, you will not have to switch rooms. There is also a 20% off discount with the AP. Which I recommend for an 8 day visit. Hands down. There are other discounts as well for 15%, including by Howard Johnson.

One of the managers is Lorealle, and she will be more than happy to answer your questions, and assist with booking arrangements.
