Is HHI generally a tough reservation to get?

I tried at the seven month window at MS opening time to get a studio for the second week of August for my son's honeymoon. No dice. We have been on the waiting list since, nothing yet. We did make alternative plans for them to go to Vero Beach which they are fine with. I did notice in the planner that the time they are going is the highest point time of the year, so it must be a very high demand time.

Are reservations in general tough to get at HHI or did we just pick a very popular time? I'm a little surprised the waitlist hasn't come through, we have been on it since the 7 month window opened.

HH has only 102 villas total. Of those, 21 are lock-off 2BRs which means there are only 21 studios and 21 1BR villas at the resort.

Availability is generally good from Labor Day thru Memorial Day at 7 months, but can be very tight during the summer months. Many who want to travel there regularly from June - August have ended up purchasing points at the resort just to have the ability to reserve at 11 months.

Good luck with the waitlist, but it was wise to get an alternative reservation.

Summer time is very tough, but off-season can be very easy. We got a 1 BR there in March at about 7 weeks (not months).

Thanks, they really are going to enjoy Vero Beach and they got even more excited when they saw my photos from our Vero trip in June. I wasn't aware how small of a resort HHI is, thanks for the info!
