I made a reservation for WL months before they announced the coming construction. If I call, what are my chances of getting the $100 per night off? When I call, do I ask for GS for WL? If I want to upgrade from room only to paid regular dining, will the still give the $100 off and will it be off my original ressies room rate that is a little lower than the 2016 rates but not a bounceback? If say 30% is offered in Oct. after I have already accepted the compensation, but not on the room category I have, will they let me upgrade with the 30% and still keep my compensation?

It's hard to say. Following the WL FAQ and WVL Construction Threads, it appears different people are getting different offers. Some are getting $100 off per night, some are getting 30% off, some are getting moved to GF and some are getting moved to CR. And yet some are getting the runaround and not being offered anything.

When I call, do I ask for GS for WL??

Guest Services.

I believe so.

I would say probably not as now you would be booking with the 30% off knowing about the construction. It appears any compensation given is to guests who booked before Disney acknowledged there will be construction.

I called and asked about it and was told no! :(
When did you call, what did you say to them and what did they say to you please. Did you are your ressie before they announced and when, what category, and for how many days are you staying.

We will be there twice, 10/22-25 and 12/28-1/1. I had it booked prior to call and called inquiring about construction and discount. He reported no discount available, even when I commented that a friend had gotten 30% off for my same time frame. :(

Did you book your ressies before they announced construction plans or after? Hoping for some pixie dust for you and more discounts come out for rooms.

I called about two weeks ago and mentioned I booked 4/2 for a 12/5-12 stay before the construction was announced. I also mentioned I heard many guests were being relocated or offered $100/night discounts. He put me on the check my options and came back with relocating or $100/night discount. Trying calling back if they don't offer the $100.

Which reservation? They're not going to compensate for the October stay, since those dates fall before construction is set to begin.
