Is Grandma a Princess or a Pirate? UPDATE 9/28! The Last Suppah! PICS!! Pg. 69!

Okay…here it is people. My barely there plan. I said it. It’s barely there. :sad2: Kinda like a speedo on King Kong…barely there. :scared1: I have barely squeaked out a plan…and I don’t know what to do with myself. I don’t know what’s wrong with me. Have I reached a level of knowledge so that plans are moot? Or have I just lost my freakin’ mind? I don’t know…you be the judge.

SOOOOOO…we’re flying out of Albuquerque on Monday the 26th at 7:45 in the morning. I don’t live in Albuquerque…I live 3 hours away. So, I’m going to need to find time in my schedule to drive to Albuquerque. Only…we’re going to be hosting a huge graduation party for Jon on Friday, the 23rd…the day he graduates and my last day of work for the year…when all my paperwork is due. Why did I not schedule our trip for a week later??? :confused3 Oh yea…to avoid the Star Geeks convention descending upon Florida.

Anywho…we fly out of Albuquerque on the 26th at 7:45 or so. We have a 2 1/2 hour layover in Houston. Never been there. And we finally touch down in my happy place at about 4:30 in the afternoon. :cool1:

I figure we’ll be over to SSR and checked in by 6:30. Then, we have to find out where to grab some grub. I’m thinkin’ over to DTD to do Earl’s…a new favorite of mine after out last trip. Unless…someone has some good dish on a great place to eat in DTD???? Hello???? Is this thing on??? I have no other ideas. Gimme some.

Tuesday, May 27th: MK Day!!

I don’t know about you…but I have to start at MK every trip. It’s tradition. It makes me get that “I’m home” feeling.

Today is also EMH. I’ve never done this. Is it worth the extra hour in the parks? Lemme know what ya’ think! :thumbsup2

Today will be all day MK with a break in the middle for us freshly transplanted New Mexicans and for Lexie…who needs a nap. We’ll try to catch Spectro (my fav…even the creepy guys) and Wishes. Although…we’ll be catching the fireworks another day for P&PP. Should we do both???

No ADR’s today. Have I lost my mind??

Wednesday, May 28th: Epcot!!

This is the last week of the Flower & Garden thingy. I hear it’s beautiful! Who’s been???

We’re going to do Future World only probably…with maybe a few stops over in the WS for a margeerita! Ahem…mommies need icy cool drinks! We’ll head out early and rest for the evening. Jon and I may head back for Illuminations… as we’ve never seen it. Where is the best place to catch a glimpse??? :confused3

No ADR’s today either. Sense a pattern?

Thursday, May 29th: AK Day!

AK is my favorite park. I flippin’ love it! We’ll stay here the whole day…no breaks in between. We do have a lunch ADR at RFC. That’s a requirement for us…and Lexie’s never been to one…so she’ll love it. We’re going to power through the park…ensuring stops at the Safari, TTBAB, LK, and Nemo…a favorite after our last trip!

Then, I’m sending my motha and Lexie back to the hotel to give us a break…I mean to allow Lexie to rest:rolleyes1 …and Jon and I have a date night. We’re heading over to AKL for dinner at Boma! YUMMMMMMMMM! Early to bed…as the next day…I become a traitor!

Friday, May 30th: Sea World Day!

That’s right. I said it! We’re going to Sea World. Jon has never been…and my motha wanted to go. So, we’ll taxi over to SW and take a looksee around. If anyone has any hints about this park, I’d appreciate it. I know nada about big fish thingies and their offerins’!

Saturday, May 31st: P&PP!!!!!

I cannot wait!!! P&PP for all of us!

We’ll hit the park at opening and hit the rides we missed on Tuesday. At 11:00 Lexie is getting dolled up at BBB in the castle!!! princess: I hope it’s better than Pink Hell over in DTD…as Kaia got in there and went all diva last year. Of course…she turned out gorgeous!

We’ll probably leave for a short break in the PM, and then come back in time for our ADR’s that night. I’m sending my motha and Lexie over to GF for 1900 Park Fare, unless I can score a CRT ressie. Up to this point, I haven’t been so lucky. We did 1900 Park Fare last year, and Jon hated every second. We won’t do that again. Although I will miss that strawberry soup! While my motha and Lexie are at 1900 Park Fare, Jon and I are going to CP. This is Jon’s favorite restaurant. And I looooove it!

After our ADR’s, we’re off to find the treasure!!! I’m so excited about getting to walk on all of the rides!

We’ll be getting in late after this one!

Sunday, June 1st: MGM (I refuse to call it Hollywood Studios)

Last year, when we were here, it was Geeks Weekend and we got nothing done. So, this is the first time we’ll get to explore. I just don’t know if I should bring my motha and Lexie along. I may send them to MK for the day, I think Lexie would like it better than MGM. Whaddya think? :confused3

We also have a 5:30 ADR at Chef Mickey’s for some Mickey head ravioli!!!

Monday, June 2nd: Bye-bye day!

We fly out at 4:00. We’ll take our time getting up and then get checked out. We’ll head over to DTD for some shoppin’ and then we’re gone! Bye world! See ya’ at Christmas!

Whaddya think? Share your opinions!

No plan:scared1: No ADR's:scared1: :scared1:

J/K - Sounds like a great plan.

My input.

1 - Definitely take a break on your P & P Day, if not your will be exhausted and cranky. P & P Fireworks are completely different than Wishes, so if you like Wishes make sure to see them:thumbsup2

2 - Sea World - We went last year, but didn't do the 3 big rides they offer. There is the Shamu Happy Harbor for Lexie, but it is mostly shows. My only suggestion is to get there early (i.e rope drop) grab a map and show schedule, pick out the shows you definitely want to see, and then plan the rest of the day around the times you want to see them. DO NOT MISS THE CLYDE AND SEAMORE SHOW:thumbsup2

Would Lexi like VOTLM or the Muppets?

Yay!! Your plans are up!:thumbsup2

First off, let me say how beautiful Epcot is during the Flower & Garden show. I love it during this time. Sadly, I'll miss it this year, but I won't be missing those :darth: :yoda: geeks!:lmao:

I agree with Earl of Sandwich for your first night.:thumbsup2 Good food & you can boat over from SSR. Then a little shopping maybe?;) :rotfl: Or back to SSR for a swim & good night's sleep.

Are the EMH at MK on Tues. in the AM? If so, do them. I took Emma over in Sept. to MK for morning EMH and it was practically empty. We covered Fantasyland in close to an hour and that included riding Peter Pan 4 times! It was great!

I think there are a few things Lexie might like at the Studios: Little Mermaid and Beauty & the Beast Show. Plus my kids love the Honey, I Shrunk the Kids playground.

So far so good! Waiting to hear the daily plans!

PS. you have May down for the 1st & 2nd. Don't want you confused or anything!;)

::yes:: You must begin each trip with MK! pixiedust:

I am a little worried about your lack of ADRs. :goodvibes

Got it! Thanks hon!

Would Lexi like VOTLM or the Muppets?

I think she would like LM...but we didn't get to do Muppets...so I don't know!

I knew June came after May! I teach children! :rolleyes1

The plans look great! Def see Wishes on your MK night because the P&PP are different! We did CP beforE our P&PP and it was great! And yay for Boma- I LOVE BOMA!

Plan looks great!!

MGM has Play House Disney and was just redone with Mickey Mouse Clubhouse, Handy Manny and Little Einsteins.

It also has Little Mermaid and Beauty and the Beast.

Those are a few things lexie might like there....

I would maybe take her there for a couple of hrs and then have your mom take her to MK if she is not enjoying herself

How can you go wrong with Disney fireworks anyway?

We are not going to have park hopper...I think. :rolleyes1

Uh, yeah. THANKS for that mental image. :rotfl:
Have I reached a level of knowledge so that plans are moot?
Hold on there cowgirl - even with an advanced level of WDW knowledge, plans are critical. The difference is this: at that advanced level, you'll know when it's safe to deviate from the plan. :thumbsup2

Unless…someone has some good dish on a great place to eat in DTD???? Hello???? Is this thing on??? I have no other ideas. Gimme some.
Don't laugh, but I love their hot dog cart! Really, they're awfully good.

No ADR’s today. Have I lost my mind??
Nope. Know what? I've pretty much quit making ADRs for MK days. I'm not a big fan of any of the TS places and looove a couple CS options. Plus, I rpefer to get out of the MK for a meal and really like the CS otpions within monorail reach.

This is the last week of the Flower & Garden thingy. I hear it’s beautiful! Who’s been???
I only got a brief look this year, but I've been every previous year since its inception. It's pretty darned cool! :thumbsup2

I'm gonna echo Janet on these. There's not so much need to plan ahead for Sea World - jsut get there early and look at show times. Be sure to feed the dolphins and don't miss the penguins - they're too funny! And get to Seamore and Clyde early - the pre-show is not-to-be-missed!

We ate at Raglan Road last night and enjoyed it. Never having been there we didn't know what to expect, but I give the fish and chips :thumbsup2. Not having an ADR we were worried we wouldn't get in, but at 5:00 we had no problem.

Highly recommend it! There are things for the kids too and not to highjack your PTR too much...

Since you'll be finished with your margarita by the time you get to France, stop and get a Grey Goose slushy. :cloud9:
