Is getting to MK for an 8:05 ADR a problem with Disney buses from Pop?

I had the CM "sort of" discouraging me from taking such an early ADR. I did it anyway of course, but now wonder if they are right. WILL I have enough time to get to MK in time for my 8:05 AM ressie using the disney bus from the Pop? When do buses run if the park opens at 9 for the day??

Disney Dining CM's try to be helpful but they just don't 'get' the whole transportation issue. You will be fine. The buses start running around 6:15ish. So, for an 8:05 ADR, be at the MK bus stop at POP by 7:00. The buses tend to not run quite as frequently as they do later in the morning, so it's better to be out there early. Then, you'll have a bit more time inside MK without all those other guests.

I've been wondering about the same think, but my reservation will be for the Tusker House at the Animal Kingdom at 8:15, and I'll be staying at the French Quarter. I wonder if a bus to the AK will get me to the park on time.

:confused3

I was also worried about early ADR's. We are taking our own car so can we use it to get around in instead of the bus? If so about how long does it take get from resorts to parks in your own transportation? Is it better to use your own car or their bus? If you are wondering yes this is our first trip to WDW!

Not an issue. We had a 8:00 ADR at Donald's a year ago....we just got out to the bus stop by 7ish, hopped on the bus and got to AK. It's so nice to walk in the almost empty parks.

It is usually quicker when driving our own car. But, if you're heading to the MK, you have to go to the TTC and park there, then take either the monorail or ferry over to the park. Only the resort buses drop you off at the entrance to the park.
For AK, I have heard of some people having an issue driving their own cars in order to get to an early ADR. It seems the parking lot doesn't open early enough for some very early ADRs.
I personally like to take the buses. I'm on vacation, I don't want to worry about finding my way around WDW. It is a huge area. Perhaps you might ride the buses for a bit, and getting a feel for the area, and then try driving after a few days.

They start busses early enough to make sure people get to their ADRs early. We have had two early ADRs one was a MK and another one was at Poly and the one at MK they just dropped you off like normal but we told them we had an early ADR at the Poly and they took us right there because it was so early(I should add that we were staying at Pop).

That's good to know. Thanks for the info. I was thinking that I might have to use a taxi for my AK reservation, but that using a taxi for my other reservation at the MK would not save any time at all since a taxi could only take me to the TTC.
