Is Frozen Ever after still breaking down frequently?

What happens with FP when it breaks? We have FP late in the day, should I try and make them earlier. Would that matter?

If an attraction breaks down during your time slot, a CM will offer you an open FP to use on any ride. So, you can come back later and ride FEA.

Unless it has changed, its not a CM that will give you a FP but you will get an email. The email will let you know that you have an anytime FP you can use on the ride that broke down or another ride from a list of rides that they attached to that ride. There is nothing you need to do. Just show back up to the ride when its running again or use the FP at one of the other rides.

BTW.....here is the wait times this year for FEA from EasyWDW. The blank spots are when the ride was down.

what happens if you technically used your FP+ (scanned in), but ride breaks down between that time and when you actually get on the ride?

We got Fast Pass to use on any other ride-We went on Soarin around the world. Can't remember if they were virtual FP with our Magic bands or paper. This was in Sept. 2016.
Sure hope that this is fixed by Oct 2017.

Last May when TT was broken down while we were waiting in the FP line, we received paper fast passes for any ride in Epcot within a certain date range. This was given out by a cast member.

Doubt time matters.

DS was there at rope drop, went straight there and it broke after a few PPO rode.

90 minutes later he rode ...

We went at 12:30 pm with FP+, broken down, never opened that day.

Other two times, no problems.

Anything is possible.

To answer the thread title, Josh at easywdw recently posted on FEA downtime. During my recent trip, I ran into closures on 2 different days before I finally got to ride on my last day. According to Josh's chart, one day I just hit it at the wrong time and should have been patient, but the other day, when I went back by a couple of times, turns out it was down most of the day.

Short answer to the thread title, apparently yes.

This happened to me in Sept right at the boat. The party before were stuck on the incline and FEA went down for 40 mins while they were evacuated & the ride was tested. No passes were given out. Some guests left. I remained b/c I was right at the boat & even with FP+ had already been in line for 20 mins before loading. A few announcements went out over the PA but the CMs didn't really know when the ride would start. The senior maintenance men were preoccupied with repairs & looked to be little or no communication between the college student CMs & maintenance.

I was hoping the FEA situation had improved since our trip last summer, but apparently they still haven't worked out the kinks. I know it was so disappointing for us when the ride went down first thing in the morning, and we didn't get to ride until later in the evening. Our particular ride was a bit rough, and we got quite a jolt from the boat behind us. Seemed as though the boats were just too big for the track.
Anyhow, I hope we have a smoother sail this summer.:boat:

It was down twice during our last trip to WDW the week after Thanksgiving. When we finally rode it with our FPs, the FP line was a 45 minute wait alone!

Fortunately, my everything Frozen loving daughter DID NOT like FEA. She said she didn't like the drops, so we may not have to ride it for quite some time! :earsboy:

It broke down Wednesday night and I was freaking out because it's my niece's first trip and she was looking forward to it. Thankfully, it became available. All the FP were taken for the following days too.
