Is free dining for a value for labor day weekend sold out?

We are taking our first trip in about 6 weeks. My dh said to me tonight that maybe we should get AP's and go ahead and go back over Labor Day for free dining just the 2 of us. God I love that man!

Anyways... any chance I would be able to get a value room? And if so, I also have to purchase a 1 day pass per person correct? What is the price of that?

I last heard that all of the Value Hotels are sold out during labor day weekend.

If you have APs you can get the DP w/o buying a park ticket. You may also be able to get a room discount. Usually there are separate piles of inventory for Free Dining rooms and AP discount rooms.

The Math as I see it:
2 Adult 1 Day Base Tickets ~ $150
3 nights of Basic DP for 2 Adults: $228

So if you can get a room discount of $80 for the weekend you're better off with an AP room than Free Dining

I just checked and if you book a longer vacation (10+ days) you will be able to get either sports or music. Then later cancel the days you don't need.

I checked online for Aug 31-Sept 14 ( which are our dates for fd at Pop). While Pop is gone, as was mentioned ASSports and ASMusic are still available, so yes, there are still value rooms with FD over Labor Day, plus there are value rooms w/o free dining still available over Labor Day. Checking the AP rates is also a great suggestion. ---Kathy
