Is FoP really all it's cracked up to be?

As they say, your mileage may vary, but I did not have any trouble at all with motion sickness on the ride.

Another downside of the new FP system. In Disneyland last year, you could simply show your dining receipt to the (paper) FP taker to extend your FP window (although they tended not to be strict about the time anyway).

But I agree with previous posters: change your ADR.

So we have a FP for FoP, but depending on how long our dinner at Jiko that night takes, there's a possibility that we will miss our FP time. Is it really going to be the end of the world if we miss it? Is it really worth it to wait in the standby line? Im skeptical...

what are the dates of your trip. how many people do you need FP for. I might be able to give up FP for 2, depending on the day

Some of our group's opinions... (myself, DH, DD10, DS12)
  • We HATE the movie Avatar
  • We were optimistic about Pandora, just because, well, Imagineers were bound to do something cool
  • We ALL absolutely LOVED FoP -- truly.
  • For us, NOTHING is worth a 2hr+ wait -- nothing (except Metallica/GnR tix back in the day). But if you're going to wait that long for a theme park attraction, this may the one.
Oh man, that is so EXACTLY how me and my family felt about FOP

For me, it was not all it was cracked up to be. I'm glad I tried it once to see what it was like, but it was a one and done for me. I had an FP, and it wouldn't have been worth a long wait to me. YMMV.

I’m also in the minority: it was pretty good but the hype was too much for what it was.

(As posted elsewhere you may have a decent amount of success adjusting your Fp time on the day of. There’s a lot of movement for ride fp availability on the same day (and not really before the same day (like stock trading volume)) using the app. We got FoP and/or changed our times 3x in 3 days while there. )

Local passholder here and I've ridden it 8 times,3 with FP.Of the five times I made the standby line once was 35 minutes, once 90 minutes and three times I waited around 2 hours. That's about 8 hours in line total and it never bothered me because I knew the ride was worth it.I would say after riding it that many times and the ride being a simulator its not the same as the first 2-3 times and I'm now less willing to wait 2 hours for it but believe me that its worth those long waits when the ride is new to you.Right now I would wait 80 minutes for it without thinking about it but would think twice about a 2 hr wait, but if its your first time I would say its worth a 2-3 hour wait.
