Is Flying Fish TOO noisy to enjoy?

We didn't find it to be any noisier than any other Disney restaurants. It was not a problem for us.

That said, the food is fantastic.

And if it's just the two of you - I recommend what the others say - ask to sit at the counter. It's open to the kitchen. My DH and I love FF and will be doing the Chef's dinner for our trip in May.

Both are very good choices.
As for the FF noise level, just be sure that if they seat you near a "station" for the bus staff, you ask to be moved. If you're near a water pitcher station or something of the sort, you may not have as good an experience. If you don't sit at the counter (ideal for two people), I've found that the further back we sit the better.

we didn't find it noisy at all.....and honestly, it was one of the best dinners we had at Disney. We had never gone before, and I kind of made the ADR w/ some reservation. Well, it's our "can't miss" restaurant now!

That sounds so good! It's one of my primary reasons for wanting to eat here. We need a drooling emoticon.

I double-checked the guidebook recommendation, and should clarify that they said FF is too noisy + crowded + cramped + bright to enjoy. So the complaint wasn't just the noise, but I'm not worried about it anymore in any case. We plan to go and enjoy!

we didn't find it to noisy either. it's not a dark quiet classic romantic kind of place but it's comfortable with great service and food. we never had any trouble having an intimate meal there. it's one of those places we hope stays busy enough to stay open and really good but not to busy to make it impossible to get adr's lol. now coral reef was noisy when we were there. we haven't done yachtsman's.

It was the first time my DH ever took a picture of food....we both ordered it and he said it was so beautiful, he had to take a picture. It was one of those dinners that if it were socially acceptable to pick your plate up and lick it clean, we'd have done it ! You're going to LOVE it there !
