Do you think the sweet show will affect attendance at Disneyland? It's not a major holiday that I know of, but some schools do take February 12th off in celebration of Lincoln or Family Day (British Columbia). Most schools seem to take the 19th (President's Day) off, but there a few that do both. There is also something called the LA Cookie Con & Sweets Show occurring that weekend at the convention center which might impact area hotels (not sure about the Disney ones).
hmm.. wonder what they're expecing extra crowds forJudging by the park hours, Mickey is expecting somewhat larger crowds that week than the weeks preceding it. Weekdays that week are 13 - 15 hours instead of 11 hours.
Do a good chunk of Nor Cal residents do Disneyland on the 3 day weekend? It's Lincoln's birthday. That creates a 3 day weekend for our Northern California school district.

Our district in Northern Calif has it off too (we get 2- 3 day weekends in Feb). Son has a sports tournament in Anaheim/Irvine the weekend of the 9th so we will stay at GCH, hit the tournament by day and parks by night and on Monday. Gotta love a sports tournament near the parks!I don't know how many actually have a 3 day weekend that weekend, but it's a better choice for us than other 3 day weekends that all districts have off. (ie, I'd pick that weekend over president's day weekend, because all school districts have that one off.)
I don't think the Lunar New Year Festival is that big of a draw. It will bring in some people, but not on the same level as HalloweenTime or the holidays.I wonder if the Lunar New Year Festival has an impact on people going just for that.
I took a quick scan of the Northern CA schools that I have in the calendar thread and a few do have Lincoln's birthday, but it doesn't seem wide spread. Likewise, a few SoCal districts have it off, but not all.Do a good chunk of Nor Cal residents do Disneyland on the 3 day weekend?
