We have ressies for the Fantasmic package at HW. Is it worth it? I'm looking for places to cut cost during our trip and this one may be the one. What do you all think? Should I ax it or keep it?

We have done it several times and really love it. If you are going during peak season time it's definitely worth it to get into Fantasmic without waiting. IF you are going during a down time (I'm a teacher so I can only go at peak travel times) then I would say nix it.

We do the Fantasmic package every time...and it doesn't cost anymore to do the package. I love not having to wait in line, so it is definitely worth it to us! :goodvibes

I have gone to "Fantasmagoric" many times. It is a do not miss. the first time i saw it I insisted to my wife that we get the dinner package, and while there was no wait, the seats were to the far right of the stage. which is good, but not great. Each time we've gone since then we go "a little" early. sit in the center and enjoy the show much more. Depending on what time of year you are going, I would go 30-45 minutes early find a good spot and have a counter service diner (burgers, pizza, turkey legs) and enjoy a little rest from the park.

With the times of year we go, we've found we don't need it. We used it for a while, but now we just eat wherever and catch the show.

I am curious whether this will still be the case (even in the offseason) with only 2 Fantasmic shows/week when it used to run every night? Has anyone successfully "winged it" since they cut back?

If there are two shows when you are at WDW for Fantasmic here is what I suggest....

If you like to eat dinner early and have young children, do the Fantasmic Package and eat at H&V or MM.

If you are adults or adults with teens (like us) - we like to eat at 50PT around 7 PM and do the later (second) Fantasmic show.
We do a few rides (rides are less crowded after 7 PM when there are 2 Fantasmic shows) before going to the 2nd Fantasmic show.

The second show is much less crowded than the first show - even duiring peak times (Easter weeks is when we do this).

The show is great. If you want to get wet, sit in the first 2 front rows.
For young children or goofy adults - bring your own glow items and save some $$'s !

They haven't cut back yet. We're going in December and there's a show every night.

I don't think it is..only because I like to sit in the middle..not off to the side where they have the seats reserved. but you do not have to sit on that side..if you can find a seat some where else then you can sit there.

It depends on if you want to wait in line or not lol.

lynne, not sure if i am correct in my thinking, reading your post. are you saying that package guests can sit in a non-reserved section when they enter before the stand by guests. i thought package guests who get in earlier then stand by have to sit in the right section. when the stand by guests start to enter then can package guests move over.

Yeah you can move after they let the non package guests in. Should have been more clear with that. Sorry.
