Is Fantasmic Dinner worth it?

We just got back and ate at Hollywood and vine. It was soooo worth it.

Unless you go at a busy time of year, no. The dinner times set aside for the package are ridiculously early in the evenning. Should you go on a rainy night, like we did, diners tended to linger so we had to wait a LONG time to eat. When we were done, we had time to do one thing, the Great Movie Ride, which was packed solid because of the rain. There is just not enough continuous rides that you can go to with kids. Everything is shows and if you don't time it right, you're out of luck. So, essentially, we were in MGM from 4:05 ( 10 minutes before our scheduled PS) till closing, ate dinner, did one attraction and saw Fantasmic. We weren't sure if Fantasmic was even going to run, because of the rain, so hung out on a hunch. Luckily, it did, but we didn't need to have reserved seating. IN fact, walk on seats were much better, since the reserved seats are on one side. Never again! I felt really constrained. I'd have preferred to have been at a different park.
