We've never seen Fantasmic but are considering it this next trip, is it really that good? Any opinion's would be greatly appreciated.

OH MY GOSH IT IS AMAZING! You cannot go without seeing it! My favorite part is the very end (I'd tell you but you have to go see it for yourself :thumbsup2 ) It's a fabulous way to end your Disney day!...and my personal favorite night show!

It has been a number of years since we were there and yes we will see it again in January. Not to be missed.

Anyone know what time it begins?

The first time we went we had 6 teenagers with us. We heard from a cast member that it was a must see. (It was very new, probably 6 months old). He told us to allow an hour & 1/2 to get good seats. Our kids (and their friends) complained like you wouldn't believe...they were being TORTURED to have to wait for an hour & 1/2 for a DUMB SHOW! When it was over, they were amazed. They all agreed it was worth the wait. We won't miss the show. It is a bit intense for young kids but even our 4 year old grandson that didn't like hardly any of the rides because they were too scary loved it. It is truly fantastic. And it is really nice that you have a seat for it. GREAT SHOW...DON'T MISS IT!

Nope, not a good show.....

A GREAT SHOW!!!!! If I could do or see only one thing at WDW, this would be it for me, hands down. I think it's amazing. My husband and kids feel the same way.

My recommendation is not to miss it this time. Obviously. :)

Oh my goodness it is wonderful !!! Not to be missed. It was down for rehab when we were there last week so I have to wait until next time to see it again.

It's absolutely the best WDW show I've ever seen. We never miss that show. My mom's going to see it for the first time this trip. I'm so excited!

I think Fantasmic is the best show at Disney. Not to be missed!!! I saw it for the first time in September 2006 and I thought it was amazing. I can not wait to see it again in January.

I am so glad to read all these responses. We are going for the first time in Dec with a H&V Fantasmic Dinner Package. I am so glad I seem to have made the right choice. :sunny:

Fantasmic is a more "dramatic" show than you might expect (complete with dream scenes). I'm with the "not-to-miss" group.

Crap!

You did it before I could. :p :thumbsup2

For once, I'm on my game. This is a rare event....I should write it down.

:cool1:

You could have trumped me though. Said it's not a good show, it's a SPECTACULAR show or something. Because really, GREAT isn't a strong enough word. Right?

Amazing! You have to go.

However, if you are planning to snack while you are there, buy your snacks outside and bring them in. The food at the snack bar sucks, and the lines for food are deathly.

I'll run the risk of sounding like an idiot...

I get goose bumps and a little bit teary at the end when all the characters come out! And the DL version is todiefor!

AH! And what's not to love about the dancing monkeys!

It was THE favourite of all the shows for this family. We also did the Hollywood & Vine package. We had a 20 minute wait to get into the restaurant so make sure your reservation isn't too close to the fantasmic starting time.

Eh, I'll be the lone naysayer here. We weren't all that into it. It was especially unplaeasant as the night was cool, windy and raining. I guess if it's raining in general they will cancel it, but the rain broke on the night we were there, and they held it. Later, it started again. When we got there all the seats were rather wet. We wren't directly downwind - those people got absolutely soaked! But the wind was blowing enough and changing direction enough that most people got at least a little wet. Even with a coat on. So maybe the weather played a role in our not liking it that much...but we all thought it was just okay.
