Is Fanta (the soda) making a comeback?

I personally think it's a terrible soda. I can taste the dye in it but my husband LOVES the orange flavor. Up until the past 6 months we hadn't seen it anywhere, now we're seeing it all over. Even commercials.

It sells here in Juneau $7.50 for a 12 pack (I kid you not) but it was $1.50 in AZ for a 12 pack. Too spendy so dh gets 1 1/2 case about once a month. It's the most expensive soda here.

Wow, thats expensive for any type of soda!

I haven't noticed it around here a lot. Mid Atlantic area. Does it come in diet?:D

I think so. DS was thrilled, he drank fanta all the time when we were in Europe.

He was almost up and dancing when the commercial came on before Shrek 2.

The boys grabbed a bottle of strawberry fanta - it's nasty! I like the pineapple. :drinking1

I've never actually had it, but I don't plan on trying it because I HATE the commercial that plays for it before movies! It's played before the last few movies I've seen, and it's so completely annoying, I intend to stay far away from Fanta!

wanta Fanta...don't you wanta Fanta...

wanta Fanta...don't you wanta Fanta...

Love the orange Fanta... I grew up on that stuff. Sigh... brings back way too many memories...

Loooooooved the pineapple one growing up, found it again when I moved here to GA. Yep, that commercial is sickening... :crazy2:

I tried to orange like I said and it was just blast icky. Dh drank it when he spent time in Russia and Japan as a teenager. My son likes it but he likes anything so his opinion on soda doesn't count LOL.

They do Fanta commercials at the theaters??? You've got to be kidding me.... LOL I've seen one on TV (that looks stupid)...

The annoying commercials on the radio are enough to make me boycott it! :)

I don't think American Fanta and European Fanta are the same formula. I LOVED it in Germany and France when I spent several months there. Doesn't do anything for me here. Must be like Coke where they change to formula according to a countries tastes.

Dunno about making a comeback, but we've always had it over here, even new flavours.

I'd love to locate some Fanta Citrus (formerly Citra) but I can't find it anywhere. Fanta Orange is pretty good, but I need some Citra/Fanta Citrus!

I've seen the commercials - I hope so! I drank Lemon Fanta practically religiously when I was in Spain for the holidays last year...

Really funny you should post this question...I'm a waitress and last night I waited on this family from Europe and they asked if we carried "Fanta". I hadn't heard of that soda in years! It must be making a comeback...cause the family told me they used to live in Europe, but now live here in the states....and they just love it.
Is it being advertised/sold here in the States again? if so...I haven't heard about it...will have to check the supermarket next time I shop!
thanks for the tip...used to love the Orange flavor.

Yup it's even here in Alaska. Just costs sooo much :( Good thing I dont like it.

I love Apple Fanta! I haven't had it in ages, though.
Yummy! :)

Never even heard of it till those crazy commercials started showing up in movie theatres. Since I see at least a movie a week, (saw 2 this weekend) I've seen that commercial way to many times. Very annoying..but of course catchy, which is what they want!

Oh my, those commercials are the most irritating ones on t.v. now. I like the Fanta fruit punch from those machines, but don't like the other flavors.

OH MY!!!My DS and I were just staring at each other in complete awe at the absolute annoyingness/stupidity of that commercial when we were at the movies!Luckily for my DH & other DS they were at the snack bar when it was on. I thought it would never end! The t.v. version is much shorter than the theatre one, so if you've only seen it on t.v., count yourself lucky :earseek:

I really dislike that Fanta commerical they play at the theaters. Ugh!!

It is making a comeback in Georgia. They are everywhere. I grew up drinking it on the way to the lake. I love it.
