This is very frustrating. A girl who goes to school with my daughter was in a horrible car wreck last night and was airlifted to Baptist Hospital in Winston. The only way I can get info is on Facebook. I'm not close to the girl or her family, but I would like to hear how she is doing. It was a horrific accident. She hit a tree head on.

It has been down for about two hours for me. And I haven't gotten any text message updates to my cell since noontime.

I should be interpreting this as a sign that it is time to deal with the laundry pile, but I'm frittering my time away here on the DIS instead.

IIRC, Facebook uses different servers throughout the country. So depending on which server you get routed through, you may or may not be having issues.

Oh no! That's horrible. I hope she will be ok.

They made an announcement at school today...I never did find out anything on FB. She is still in ICU with head trauma, chest injuries, broken collarbone, broken leg in two places. This is why I freaked out when my DD got her license this year. I just pray she makes it. I don't know if she is in critical or stable condition.

Wow, Facebook is down again. Look at their performance for the last 24 hours...

I'm not sure if that image updates as time goes on but right now it looks like Facebook has had service disruptions for about half of the last day.
