Is Ensenada the Nassau of the West Coast?

Joy (can I call you Joy?, that's what I think in my head when I see you post) in my experience you are the most upbeat and friendly repeat cruiser, so hearing that you weren't interested made me second guess.

Oh my gosh, you make me blush

I see that I'm getting on the Wonder mere hours after you get off, (please don't take all the Micky bars :earboy2:)

Ah, the first Alaskan cruise of the season.....well....since you were polite and said please, I'll make sure they save you some :smickey: (they really need a mickey bar emojii on these boards!)

If I ever book another cruise that stops in Ensenada, I will not get off the ship. We have been there twice: the first time, we went on the wine tour and it was ok but it boiled down to a long bus ride to sample some wine we didn't like (we did buy some really good olive oil on the wine tour). The second time, we just went on our own and it was horrible. We got overcharged in a restaurant; I argued awhile until my wife and kids were uncomfortable and finally just paid it and left. Basically, they told us they had a special on beer and tacos (not lying, they were $1 each) and then they charged us $15 for each of my wife and kids' non-alcoholic beverages. They seemed so nice when having us enter the establishment and I did not ask up front for the price of water and soda. I have not had a problem like this at other cruise ports and it was a learning experience. I am from Arizona and have traveled to Mexico numerous times (Cabo, Puerto Vallarta, Rocky Point) and have never disliked a stop like Ensenada.

I have my first stop in Nassau in December 2018, so I cannot compare.

My daughter and I are stopping in Ensenada on the 3nt Baja cruise next year - was considering doing the City and Shopping tour (EN01) just to get off the boat and have an experience, but we might just get off and have a photo at the port, (just to say that we were there) and get back on. Last year we didn't leave the boat in Nassau (the DCL adventures weren't that exciting and were a tad expensive and I don't like being hassled by the street sellers) - just enjoyed the day with less crowds in the pool - this might be the plan next year also.

There used to be one. Before the "new" format (several years ago). But I found this one online
