Is Enchanted Tales w/ Belle a must-do?

I'm booking my FP+ for MK in a couple of days and wondering if my husband and teenage daughters will appreciate Enchanted Tales with Belle. They are more of the thrill-ride types, although they do enjoy shows (Finding Nemo at AK was the favorite show last trip). Thoughts?

Skip it. We saw it a year ago, and my then 14DD who was always a princess girl and my then 16DN both thought that is was a snore, and kind of silly. Little kids will like it, but if I were you I'd skip it.

Agree, we did it with a bunch of little girls under 11, but unless your DDs are REALLY into Belle, I wouldn't waste your time. I would never do it again unless my kid wanted to.

Though I will say this, I would WAY rather use a FP+ on it than wait 75 minutes for it.

Don't waste a fast pass on it!
Some of the effects are worth seeing, and it's cute, but nothing too spectacular, go near the end of the night when there's no wait instead!

There is not enough "thrill rides" to fill a day in Magic Kingdom or any WDW park so at some point you will be doing other "non thrill" attractions.

At Magic Kingdom, I wouldn't put this attraction/show as a must do, but chances are you will have the time and it is better than Pooh, Peter Pan, Little Mermaid Ride, Barnstomer etc etc etc

My DH & I travel alone (late 50's). We thought this was just for little kids so kept skipping it. We went for the first last Sept just to finally see what it was. We enjoyed it because we loved seeing how cute all the kids are. My DH was picked to be a guard even tho he did not volunteer. We have been back twice since then & again, just seeing the cute kids & how they enjoy themselves makes it worth it to us. We are still waiting for grandkids to enjoy the parks with, so we get to witness some Disney magic for kids thru this show.

Thanks for the feedback! I think I will take my two youngest (DD 7 and DD 9) at the end of the day and let DH take the oldest girls on something else more their speed. Truth be told, I'm as big of a Belle fan as my little girls are and am looking forward to this! (We also have BOG dinner reservations that night.)

I realize my response does not directly apply since my kids are younger (4 and 7), but we just did this last week and LOVED it, mostly because DS7 was chosen to be the Beast! The show was so cute and charming. Have fun!

I wouldn't call it a "must do" for teenage girls. It's still really cute and worth seeing but unless they're Belle fanatics, I'd think they'd have other priorities. I still recommend it if you're ever there and can do it with one of the extra l FP+ or see a 15 minute or less wait.

[Just saw your 2nd post and that changes my answer a little. While it's not a must do for husbands or older kids, if you're there watching your littler ones participate it's a must do. Any kids who want to play a part can get involved with the show and the fun for the adults is watching your kids get involved. I'd go look it up on You Tube to get an idea. While your teen girls may not want to "participate", if they're close with their younger sisters they may enjoy watching them do it.]

In your situation, I would not use a FP. We saw it last year (2 adult women and 12yo DD) because we were there at rope drop and able to get in to the first show. I wanted to check it out just to see all the new stuff in Fantasyland. Honestly, though we did enjoy it and thought it was very cute, I don't need to probably ever do it again unless it's with my baby nephew when he's about 4. DD feels the same way. Good luck deciding!!

I did it, and I even volunteered to be enchanted silverware because that's the only way you can get a pic with Belle. And I really wanted a pic with her in her yellow ball gown. Yeah, I felt a little goofy doing it, but I wasn't going to see anyone in the group again, so who cares.

Yeah, I'm a dork. Don't judge me. I also ended up helping herd the little mini Belle that was picked to be Chip, I don't think she understood what was going on, she was maybe 3 and had been to BBB that morning and was decked out in Belle's yellow dress, and absolutely adorable.

IF your younger daughters will enjoy it then surprisingly there is a good chance your teenage daughter would enjoy viewing the younger siblings interacting with Belle. I know the siblings have their feauds but often times they do enjoy watching the other siblings having fun.

We go 2x a year and have yet to see ETWB since it opened. Our last trip was in August so one or two resorts were testing FP+ at the time and the lines were always 75+ minutes. So I am using a FP+ for it on our June trip since we have never seen it. I doubt I will need to see it again, but I think it is worth the FP this time since it is new to us.

If you do it during wishes the line is very short. When I went last week I was able to walk right in on two different nights probably during the last 2 hours the park was open.

Check out youtube videos of it. The theming is great if you're a BATB fanatic. There are two Imagineering features that are pretty impressive: the magic mirror and the animatronic of Lumiere (maybe the wardrobe as well). If getting near Belle in her ball gown is important it's your only opportunity outside of the Akershus character meal. But mostly it's a play acting opportunity for little kids.

We did it last week and had a blast.
We were very lucky in that DD6 was chosen to be Beast, DD7 was chosen to be Chip, and DW was chosen to be Wardrobe. What a great video that is.

We did it twice on our trip last month, because it was so absolutely adorable the first time we did it that we had to do it again. My DD5 was picked to be Maurice the first time (dressed as Tinker Bell), and Chip the second. SO cute, and she just loved it. We did it with an FP+ the first time and at rope drop the second.

I'm going to try to go after our BOG dinner, hoping the lines are less late in the evening, or maybe we can snag an extra FP for it. But I'm not going to use one of my 3 FP on it. I think my DDs 12 and 15 will still like to see it. They like Belle, and they played Chip and Mrs. Potts on their very first trip 9 years ago at the Belle storytime.

One and done for me. I only ever go now when I am at MK with someone who hasn't seen it. Is it cute, yes. If you love BATB it's probably a must do because you get to meet Belle. The whole attraction is themed wonderfully and the experience is great if you don't have to wait more than 10-20 mins. Keep in mind, the whole attraction takes about a half hour. So if you are in a time crunch or have an ADR be mindful of the time.

Would I use a FP for this? Absolutely not, even if I am going with someone who hasn't seen it.

I guess it is up to your family. I loved it and have seen it a few times. The last time I took my niece and two nephews (two 15s and a 17 year old) the all enjoyed it and thought it was really cute.

I will see it again, not use a FP+ on it since I have done it already but will go back.
