Is El Pirata open?

It's never open when I'm there but I'm thinking with crowds so high that it might be open next week? I sure love me some Pecos Bill but that taco salad looks yummy!

They give you a shell with a tiny scoop of meat and that is it, you are to add what you want from the topping bar NO OLIVES either and if you want beans for the taco salad they charge you for it.

I felt bad for DH, this was always his fav and it is never opened anymore so when we read that it was going to be open for our trip we had to get there...wish we didnt

We ate there on April 6th. DH and DSIL had taco salads and I had tacos and our food was good.
That is the first time we have eaten there in years. We go several times a year at different times of the year and that is the first we've seen it open in forever.

Really....that is just wrong...they did not charge for beans when we were there in may...they gave them to you on the side automatically...such a shame, it was my first time getting to eat there in may and it was delicious but sounds like a lot has changed...too bad

It was open all of last week, but only from 11-3 Sun.-Th and 11-6 on Friday & Saturday. We enjoyed our taco platter, but they sure don't seem to put as much meat in as they used to before the toppings bar. Would get them again, though.

Does anyone know of a way to find out when they'll be open? Not sure if calling Information would get me anywhere but i'm trying to find out if El Pirata will be open on May 21st.

I LOVE this place and I hope they are open for our trip in June. We had the best meal there...it's fun for all of the kids in my party because of the toppings bar. It turned around a bad mood in my nephew!
