Is DVC Club Worth It???

Well no Mega Million but I'm still planning my 2009 trip, I'll just have to keep playing until then!

We have been members since 2001 and it is well worth it to us. We stay at WL for 2 weeks every year during Food and Wine which is the reason we bought it. Some years we have gone two or three times during the year. To save money we always buy an annual pass and the DDE and get at least two trips out of each. We usually have breakfast in our room. You have to decide if DVC is right for your family, for us since we go for 2 weeks every year it was a no-brainer on the money side after pulling out 6 years of hotel bills. Plus the peace of mind knowing that we can go on vacation is great. I also do not have to spend lots of time waiting for a code to come out and trying to get a discounted room just to see if we can go.

I'm just beginning to look into membership and I feel so clueless. We go about every other year and usually stay deluxe. My DH works for an airline so we get almost 50% off a night for ex: we got a GF room for 200/night. .

we actually bought into DVC right after a discounted stay (CM 50%) in a GF tower room. simply, we like the amenities of DVC much better than those of any resort: washer/dryer, kitchen (tho i don't cook, great for coffee, b'fast, coffee, late night snacks, coffee ), community hall, and having "neighbors" instead of the transient feel of a regular resort.
the lack of daily mousekeeping is actually more convenient for us ~ we're not fans of people coming into the room at any time (while we're napping, resting, whatever) to clean. we straighten up after ourselves, just like at home.
a big consideration (especially notable after reading the replies in this thread) is the flexibility ~ we can use the points at so many places both in & out of WDW, at just about any time, without much consideration of cost.
