Is Dreams Unlimited doing a bait and switch?

On the home page DU has the Rodeway Maingate advertised at $27 for a deluxe room. When I go to book it, the rate is $32, plus a $2 "resort fee". Waz up?
:(

While I haven't seen the ad, I am guessing it probably says something like "starting at $27". If this is the case, the time of year you are going is probably dictating the price. Just like Disney has different pricing seasons, all the hotels in the Orlando Area I have read about seem to follow the same deal. In the slower seasons they charge less, in the peak seasons they charge more.

And truthfully, $32 a night is a very good price even if you can't get $27.

You might want to post this on the Orlando Hotels and Attractions Board as that is the board where people will have more experience with off Disney property hotels will be reading.

When I check I also get the $32.00 rate, but I'm seriously thinking about booking anyway. As long as someone can tell me whether or not this hotel is clean. I was able to get Comfort Inn at DTD for the same price and I know it's a nice hotel. Same amenities and closer to Pleasure Island.

Hi All

The $25 and $27/night are 'lead-in' prices the resort has given us. They are usually very limited - not only to the amount of dates available at that rate but also the amount of rooms.

I recently conducted an impromptu tour of this resort and can say that the rooms are very clean and nice. For this price the rooms are fairly large, well appointed and very clean.

Hi Webmaster,

Thanks for the confirmation about this hotel. I wasn't upset about the price...I've booked thru DreamRes before and I know that the lowest rates are snapped up FAST. I booked with Rodeway and have decided to cancel my Comfort Inn ressies for 2 reasons:

1) Availability of refrigerator and microwave in the room
2) Availability of High Speed internet access (added charge, not included in the room rate).

I'll be in Orlando for 6 nights and I MUST get my Pinpics fix everyday :p , so internet access that's faster than snail pace is imperative to me. Having a refrig. and microwave will allow me to save the $$$ I need for the internet cost.

A trip report will follow when I return in December.

Rates can start at X amount of dollars, but depending on the dates you book, that can change.

hello I just stayed there from !0-11 to 10-17 and the hotel was fine very clean and very friendly staff . I paid the $27. for a deluxe and they at first gave me a standard and I said I have frozen stuff here to go in a refrig so They gave me a full kitchen . It is $27. a night but you have to add tax and a $2.00 resort fee so that is why you are getting $32 . because it adds all that in . I would stay again anytime and recommend it to anyone . If you have more questions ask me . Doreen
