Is DL still fun while pregnant?

We are starting to try for #2 this month, which would put me at 3 months pregnant for our trip to DL. Now, I figure I'll be okay because my 3 year old will be too short to ride some rides and my dh has motion sickness so he won't ride any wild rides. It won't be as much fun anyway to ride the wild ones by myself. Will I still have fun though? I know I'll miss out on some stuff, but....

I had just as much fun when we went when I was pregnant as any of our other trips. I was about 3 1/2 months. Just remember to rest when you need it.

I've been to DLR many times while pregnant. I'm almost positive I've been in all 3 trimesters at least once during my pregnancies. I had a blast and didn't find it all that restrictive while being pregnant. Of course I missed riding the "big" rides, but there is so much at DLR that you can still ride that it's not that big of a deal.

The only possible thing that could stink for you is if you're in the midst of morning sickness while there. Otherwise I'm sure you'll have a blast.

I too have been to disneyland many times while pregnant. I had just as much fun as when I wasn't pregnant. It was really no big deal to me to miss out on some rides because it just gave me an excuse to plan another trip after I had the baby

I went when I was pregnant with #2. DS was 2.5 at the time and I was about 4.5 months along. We still had a blast. While my DS napped in the stroller I would sit and have a snack with my feet up while DH rode some rides I couldn't. I loved that break and the food We also took the time to watch all the parades and shows (something we don't always do because we're trying to hit all the rides). I didn't ride any of the roller coasters (most of which DS couldn't do anyway). I rode pretty much everything else (including Soarin) though. I rode Autopia and had my husband get in the car behind me so I wouldn't get bumped.

I can't talk from experience, but I'd think it would be better to go when pregnant than to not go at all. I might be pregnant the next time we go.

What rides will I still be able to safely ride if I am pregnant during our trip. I know that Fantasyland rides will be safe, but what others have you guys ridden pregnant?

I went while pregnant I think I was 4 mos along at that time.
I went on Pirates, Jungle Cruise, Haunted Mansion etc...
I think the only thing I missed out on was Matterhorn, BTMRR, Splash and Space Mountain. At DCA I went on Soarin, and all the little rides in Bug's Land, you could do monster's Inc now too. I didn't do any of the paradise pier rides that trip. It was way fun though and with a little one you wouldn't go on a lot of those rides anyways. I let DH take our older one while I stayed off with the little one.

Agree with PP. I went at 6.5 months and very early at 6-7 weeks and I rode Pirates, Jungle Cruise, Haunted Mansion, Soarin, even Grizzly River Run since I had been on many times and knew there was nothing crazy on it. You can ride almost everything except the Mountains, Indy and Screamin so you will still have a wonderful time!!

I went with both pregnancies. The first one was without any kids rotfl: obviously I guess!) and it was fun because browsed through the shops and rode on other rides several times rather than wait in line for the big ones. I had just as much fun. Just be sure to not push yourself too much unless you are like me and overdo everything....

Good luck and you'll still have just as much fun! Plus you get to look forward to those other rides for you next trip!

I'm glad you asked this question b/c I *may* be in the same boat on our trip in June! We have 2 DDs under 4 yrs. so I figured whatever they can't ride, I wouldn't ride so it will be fine. Plus think of ALL the FOOD you can eat guilt free!

YES! I went to DL many times during both of my pregnancies. I really didn't feel like I missed out on anything at all. Of course I couldn't go on the obvious fast rides, but everything else was fine. I had a great time while pg!

Good luck to you in trying for #2. DH & I would LOVE another baby, but unfortunately it's not that easy for us. Although I can't complain because we're so blessed with the two DD's that we have.

I had really bad morning sickness every night with my son, so I am kind of worried about that. Maybe if I'm pregnant during our trip and am having morning sickness I'll try those preggie pops.

Which rides do you definately avoid while pregnant?

I am glad I find this post.. As we are trying for #2 and planning on going to DL in December if I get pregnant here shortly I will be 5+ months along.. I want to go now for my daughter and not wait another few years. I would only go on the slow and calm rides but I think it would still be fun.
