Is Disney Visa worth it?

To me, its worth it. I have been saving my points for over a year. I pay my bill in full each month. I now have $475 to spend in Disney for FREE :goodvibes:banana::cool1::woohoo::yay::cheer2:

I think it depends on what you're looking for. We tok advantage of a $200 reward dollar promotion in August (which was used towards our upcoming January trip).

I knew full well that there are cards with better rewards. However, with the Disney card it forces me to use the rewards for Disney vacations (which my family loves). If we received a regular cash card we may be tempted to waste the rewards on frivilous items like food and clothing. I just don't trust that I would use the rewards for a Disney trip. With the Disney card I have no choice.

Like others we charge everything on it and pay it off each month. I anticipate we'll earn between $400 and $500 "Disney Dollars" each year. For us it's worth it.

Ditto what this person said... We got the DV when we started going every year, and it's helped us be able to upgrade to better hotels without spending more money. Granted, we pay for practically EVERYTHING (that we can) on this card, then pay it off in full each month. It may not be a better bargain compared to other rewards cards out there, but I know that we'll always at the very least have spending money at Disney. For our trip in March, we have $700, which, along with some rewards GCs that DH got at work, will completely cover our entire trip! (Minus our flight, which might be covered by our new SW credit card that we got when they offered 50,000 points to sign up!)

Here's my 2 cents:
Any rewards card that doesn't have an annual fee that gives you a reward for something you're going to use is not a waste!
I've been a Disney visa card holder for years, and used the card for everything from gas and groceries to daycare payments. My only complaint now is that I used to get the bonus rewards offers for 5x rewards in certain categories, then it went down to 3x rewards, and now it's been a good 18 months since I've had a bonus reward. That being said, in June I got the Chase Freedom card, which gives you 5x rewards on certain categories each quarter. When I signed up I also got a $300 bonus - which went straight to our Disney fund. I get more bang for my reward buck using that card, so I've been using that more and more. I try to maximize my credit card rewards since all my rewards go to Disney vacations anyway, I want to get the most bang for my buck. I still use my Disney visa, but like I said, I get more reward back with the Freedom card which then equals more money in my Disney fund.
