Heck, if you look at the publicity materials from the early 1970s it’s clear that they were marketing to more than just families with small children from the very beginning.

In the 1970s and early 1980s, I remember Disney advertisement that was targeting what today is called empty nesters and businesses.

Those ads seemed to push golf and fine dining.
