Is Disney ever NOT "experiencing higher call volume"?

Every time I call the Disneyland Resort I hear something like "we are currently experiencing higher than normal call volume" before they inform me that I'll have to wait 20 to 40 minutes on hold to speak with a human. Has this been your experience recently too?

I wonder if Disneyland or WDW makes "guests" wait longer.

Their not hiring more receptionists/representatives is awful/cheap customer service.

Pretty sure WDW is in the hours of wait time, at least for support so if Disneylanders can get away with 20-40 minutes considering yourself doing great. But completely agree with you, goal should be zero wait or maybe 5 minutes not 40 minutes and not 3 hours for sure.

I once called and a cast member answered the phone before the music even started playing. I almost hung up out of plain shock.

Sure would induce shock.

So will the hour we once spent on hold with an endless loop of Small World. That should be on the feds' list of cruel and unusual punishments.

I can't even walk past the attraction now without shuddering.
