Is Dinosaur currently scary?

While I've ridden Dinosaur a dozen times since it opened, I swear it's a slightly different experience every time! Sometimes it's extremely dark and sometimes it's dimly lit. Sometimes certain dinosaurs chase and sometimes they don't. Sometimes sound effects are louder. I read in the UG that Disney Imagineers are constantly tinkering with this ride so I was just wondering...

Who's ridden it in 2015 and how scary is it now?

Yes, it's scary. I'm 31 and feel anxiety on the ride and I rode it maybe 20x.

It's full tilt panic mode. Not a rollercoaster ride at all, but very realistic, dark, loud.....feels very lifelike.

I love it...lol

First time I rode it i hung on for dear life thinking a dinosaur would eat me.

If you have a child 6-11, they'd be terrified on it but I can see them immediately screaming afterwards AGAIN AGAIN AGAIN!!!!

Don't know about scary, but I know my wife has the worst luck on that ride. Everytime she rides it, it must be immediately after someone in the group before her spills something on the seat getting out of the truck, because my wife's pants are always wet when she gets off. At least that's the reason she usually gives us.

I rode it in May and yes, I found it scary. Very dark, chasing, jumping out, etc.

I also don't find it scary. Rather I find it horribly-jerky-to-the-max and I end up with a headache and queasiness. Always have to get out the Altoids and Excedrin.

Its very herky jerky and will toss you around similar to Space Mountain (minus the drops and speed)

This is definitely one of my fav rides in DIS. I love the feeling of anxiety and DIS does a great job of making you feel like you're being chased by a dino. Just put your arm around your youngster and giggle and point and say 'lol how funny is that dino! Its all pretend!' and that should help.

My mom did that to me when i was 5 in haunted mansion and made it all better

I rode it in Feb. You're right . . . it seemed different from Fall 2014. One or two of the big dinosaurs (maybe the Carnotaurus?) wasn't moving? Slightly tamer in that respect.

To those of you describing what the ride is like, thanks but please read my OP. I was actually wanting something more specific to those of you who have ridden many times and especially this year.
