I would like to get the dining option but I would have to drop my aaa rate and lose $200 over 4 days. Will the dining deal save me that much.

I booked my package through AAA for January 2006 with the dining option and I am 99% sure that I still got the AAA discount. I had figured it out before I called them with the discount, and my package price through them was cheaper than my estimate. You do have to book it through a AAA office.

If you book with a AAA TA you can usually get MYW dining and a AAA discount.

I also got the AAA discount and dining by booking the package through AAA.

Booked through AAA and still got the savings!

Another dining plan and MYW thru AAA. What was explained to me was that IF you call CRO you can get the AAA discount but not the dining plan. BUT if you call AAA and they do the reservation you can have the dining. Don't know for sure but that is what the AAA travel agent told me a month ago.

I did the same, went through AAA agent and got dining and room discount. Now I'm concerned if I should do the dining, I think it makes sense when you look at the cost of meals. What if we don't do alot of sit down meals, I mean for table service. We're not fancy food people, are there places you can eat that you would use your TS, but not have it be fancy. We have DD9 AND ds 12. I'd appreciate some input. I know everyone probably feels different, but let me know anyway! Thanks

Dh and I went over and over the numbers and for us it makes sense. Granted we are spending all 10 of our credits at 3 places (4 for Yachtsman, 2 for Le Cellier and 4 for Hoop-de-doo). But it makes a lot of sense otherwise. We are splitting a lot of counter services since we are having big dinners. If you stay away from the Signature restaurants, I wouldn't say the others are too fancy. You could also think about using the TS for lunch and then using CS for dinners. We spent a lot of time on allearsnet.com looking at menus and prices before deciding if it was worth it.

I just made ADR's today for our trip in January. We will be going with our 2 boys ages 4 & almost 2 so we didn't want anything too fancy either. We are mainly going to places that are loud and fun and have some type of entertainment.

Chef Mickey's breakfast
Whispering Canyon Cafe
Ohana
Biergarten
Mama Melrose
Le Cellier - the only one that the kids will probably not like but we really wanted to try it.

I definatly think that the dining plan will be a great savings.

Count me in as another person who booked thru AAA to get rooms, tix and dining.

AAA saved me over $600 (compared to the Disney quote)
