Is DHS slow during Fantasmic?

I've seen the crowd calendars that generally say avoid DHS on a Fantasmic day as the crowds will be higher. But what about during Fantasmic? We have parkhoppers and are staying YC so would rides at DHS be slow during the Fantasmic show times when we could pop in, hit RNR or TSM while most are in the show?

We tried once to do the very same strategy and it didn't work for us. Many others have the same idea. You have those with later fastpass times, too.

Fantasmic is showing every day, though. They changed it to a few nights a week a few years ago, but I don't think that lasted very long - a year maybe?

~Literally, all the rides were walk on -- and we didn't even need all of the fastpasses we ran around all day collecting, so we could use them later!

~But as another poster mentioned, the F! shows are now every night. I am surprised to read that this doesn't work anymore.

We also tried it when F! was showing twice a week a few years ago with fairly good success on ToT and RnR (didn't try TSM). Then we tried again when the reverted back to once or twice a day shows and we got something to eat and went to find our bus

~Yes! We did the exact same thing -- we chose ToT and RnR and it was walk on! That whole little section back there was like a ghost town!

~We wasted three years and so much time just to see F! -- when we could have been enjoying the rest of the park with no lines! Just my luck, Disney finally adds more shows, two times a day, lol. Oh well, it was fun while it lasted!
